Clean Air For All Dulwich
@DulwichCleanAir
We want ALL of Dulwich to have access to clean air not just the privileged few. The LTNs cause pollution, increased traffic, stress and inequality.
Southwark said they listened to LAS when they said LTNs cause delays. Meetings were meant to ensure these delays stopped. They didn't. LAS has been asking since August *last year* for the closed junction to be opened for emergency access. Southwark have ignored this request.

Competing interests of Anna Goodman: "From time to time, AG volunteers in a personal capacity with local healthy streets and safe routes to school groups." No mention of her tearing down a poster grouping together those against the LTNs though. Shocked. injuryprevention.bmj.com/content/early/…
Jon Burke perfectly illustrates why local people should make decisions on *their* area. 200m from where the below questionnaire was taken, a cyclist was hit by a car and is still in a coma. *Locals* knew the Dulwich LTN doesn't make us safer, but the pro LTN lobby don't care.

Southwark asked local residents what they think of the LTNs and road closures in Dulwich, and we told them. They just decided to totally ignore it.

Your regular reminder that Cllr Leeming knowingly and intentionally has made Croxted a toxic car park during Dulwich LTN hours. Admitting he rerouted traffic from DV (never a 'quiet residential road') to Croxted *on purpose*.

Cllr Leeming calls choosing Croxted to take all of the traffic in Dulwich during timed restrictions a "trade off," but only because the roads were "choked with traffic" before, so it's fine? Rational reasoning has left the building...

Modal shift/evaporation were all words being thrown around to sell LTNs to residents in Dulwich by Southwark Cllrs in 2020/2021, but no accountability when there's been no evaporation or modal shift 5 years on. The daily congestion on Croxted *remains*.

"...Absolutely not to benefit residents on one road over another." Would love Cllr Newens to explain Croxted Road versus Court Lane, where 5 years on congestion on Croxted is more than just a 'worry': It's a daily reality.

Croxted Rd is a great example of the greenwashing happening. LTNs lauded as "clean air." Reality: "New data from the RCGP research and surveillance centre shows the rate of asthma attacks in 2025 has consistently been above the five-year average." theguardian.com/society/2025/j…
James Mcash is the new leader at Southwark council. We hope now he's in charge, he will follow through with his social justice approach to the Dulwich LTNs to protect schools, nurseries and hospitals "above all else." EDG=3 schools, 1 nursery, 1 GP hub. Croxted = 1 nursery.

Lambeth announce new safety measures for Croxted Rd without any consultation or information for *residents* on Croxted Rd. A comment on Norwood Forum is the first they're hearing about this. @lambeth_council @RezinaChowdhury surely you can do better than this?
What do those bus priority measures look like ? We have no idea. It would be good if we could be part of the discussion @RezinaChowdhury @LambethLabour We are very concerned about speeding cars and our vulnerable residents @ChitchClaire
Anna Goodman's husband trying to grasp at any straw to make LTNs popular. Now they're a good thing because they make property prices go up? Desperate times clearly call for desperate measures. His total lack of empathy for those on the boundary of LTNs is insane.

Southwark stopped monitoring the roads around the Dulwich LTN when it realised it couldn't prove evaporation exists. The last data dump showed a 25% *increase* in vehicles on East Dulwich Grove compared to pre-LTNs. EDG has 3 senior schools and 2 nurseries.

Seems like the cllr for DV is saying that residents of Croxted Rd deserve the congestion that Southwark forced on them, but strangely doesn't say a word about the very high car ownership on the closed roads of Calton Ave, Court Lane and Gilkes Crescent...strange that.

Your regular reminder that the cllr for Dulwich Village was one of those proponents pushing the falsehood of evaporation. Here we are 5 years later and Croxted Rd remains a toxic car park while the Dulwich LTN is active. When do we get an apology from the cllr for his lies?

Ambulances having to drive on the wrong side of the road because of congestion caused by the Dulwich LTNs. Dulwich Village cllrs offer *nothing* for local residents except excuses and denials. It's not good enough when children are forced to inhale these fumes everyday.
17/06/25: 08.21am Croxted Road SE21 Come rain or shine New normal for Croxted families who walk scoot or cycle to school. Congestion. Noise. Horrible. Measures for main roads? (After 5 years, none!) @helenhayes_ @RezinaChowdhury @AirCroxted
While Southwark cllrs like to pretend Croxted Rd is not their responsibility or their problem, Tfl and local residents *know* the truth. The Dulwich LTN is the cause of this congestion. 5 years on and no evaporation.
And today
Anna Goodman's husband, running the pro-LTN group in West Dulwich said "it's much easier to talk to your neighbours when there aren't 200 cars an hour going past your front door." No thought given to the those on the now much busier roads. 🤡 bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
Hugely concerning that local cllrs are lying so brazenly to residents. This is Trumpian and stems from having no credible or sizeable opposition at Southwark council for so long. Labour think they're untouchable - just like Trump. We need this challenged urgently.
Apparently local labour councillor canvassing on Croxted today said that 1. Nobody had ever raised concerns about congestion and LTN 2. Congestion on Croxted had nothing to do with LTN - ‘on his mother’s grave’ Utterly disingenuous. His poor mother. @TwofeetgoodSE21
While the cllrs for DV have blocked ambulances from entering calton avenue from Dulwich village because they claim pedestrians are at too much risk, they have no issue with lorries and trucks racing around inside Dulwich park.
We add this to the list of Labour cllrs who seem completely unable to represent their ward impartially, fairly or appropriately.
The Deputy Leader of Lambeth Council has been accused of lying to the High Court in the recent case over the West Dulwich LTN Rezina Chowdhury is now facing calls to resign
