#OTD in 1848, the first #WomensRights convention in the United States was held in #SenecaFalls, NY. 300+ women attended & it was during this convention that the women’s suffrage movement launched. 72 years later, American women won the right to vote w/ the #19thAmendment.

Today we celebrate #MandelaDay on #NelsonMandela's birthday. #NelsonMandela was the first Black president of South Africa (1994-1999). We celebrate his legacy and encourage the younger generation to help change the world for the better.
