Ever hit a commercial break and the ad is so loud you’re worried your speakers are going to blow out? Or worse, wake up a sleeping baby? I authored SB 576 to make sure streaming services are held to the same standard as television commercials. calmatters.org/politics/2025/…
If you own a @Ford electric Mustang, listen up! Motor Co. is recalling nearly 200,000 electric Mustangs because the door latches could falter, potentially trapping passengers in the back seat. Read below for more info. ow.ly/CcJj50Wjnxl
Through August 1, Katella HS is hosting a Summer Resource Drive for families on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-7 pm. If you are able to donate, please check in at the Main Office. These items go right back into our community to help those impacted by the recent immigration raids.

I’m proud to have been able to secure over $11 million for my district for essential housing and public safety programs in our community. Thanks to this funding, our cities and county will be able to get more units online, assist those in need, and get more people off the streets

This Saturday from 9-12, Katella HS students, Mayor Aitken, Councilmember Maahs, @NorthgateGlzMrk, and the Naranjeros Car Club are putting together care packages for families in our community impacted by the ICE raids. If you can donate items they are highly appreciated!

I had the pleasure of sitting down with Gregory Scott, the President/CEO of @CAPOrangeCounty to celebrate their 60th anniversary and talk about the tremendous impact they’ve had. CAPOC is a pillar of our community and we look forward to another 60 years of service!

I supported SJR9 to condemn raids targeting individuals like Narcisso Barranco. The Natl Guard sitting down the street from my office is only provoking the situation. I will continue to fight for the promise people like Narcisso came to this country to fulfill for their families.
Thank you, @ALADSOnline for the 2024 Legislator of the Year award! As a former federal prosecutor, I know that the work that goes into putting criminals behind bars starts with our law enforcement community. This award means a lot and I am grateful.

SD34 is the home of CIF champions! Kudos to the boys of @MDHSMonarch’s volleyball team and @ServiteHS’s track & field teams this past spring! Let’s gooooo!

This isn't a question of whether streaming services CAN do this. It's a question of whether they want to. They know how old I am. They know what cereal I like. They can figure out how not to increase volume. #SB576 #CALMAct politico.com/newsletters/ca…
It may be bright and sunny outside, but don’t forget that soaking up those rays can be dangerous! ☀️ Be sure to always apply sunblock and wear protecting eye-wear when exposed to UV rays in order to reduce your risk of vision problems, skin cancer, and other medical issues. 🏥

Happy 4th of July to everyone! Please stay safe and enjoy time with family and friends. Remember our veterans who lost their lives for our freedom, and those who are still serving to preserve our independence. #4thOfJuly, #IndependenceDay 🗽🎆

Earlier today my colleagues and I celebrated the Fourth of July at the State Capitol in Sacramento. I want to thank all of my fellow members like @MoniqueLimonCA and staff who helped put this together!

I want to thank my colleagues on the Assembly Elections Committee for supporting #SB398 yesterday. If Mr. Musk wants to muck around in elections ethics, he can do that elsewhere. This type of interference in one of our most sacred duties as citizens is not welcome in CA.

This July, remember that safety matters around every type of firework. 🎆 Even sparklers can reach 1,200 degrees. 🔥 #IAFF #IAFFSafetyTips #FireworkSafetyMonth

Moving on up! Thank you to my colleagues in the Assemby Elections Committee for advancing my #SB42 this week to allow California’s cities to implement public financing for elections. It’s the only way to get the money out of politics. @CACleanMoney

On this day in 1964, President Johnson signed our nation’s defining #CivilRightsAct into law. This was just the first step on a winding staircase to equality for our country. We are...very obviously...NOT DONE. Thank you for allowing me to continue this work for you, #SD34.

#Arbitration is a very effective tool in the legal system. But the media has reported on some egregious use in recent years. Thank you to my colleagues on the Assembly Judiciary Committee for supporting #SB82 earlier today. @ConsumerAttysCA, @ConsumerWD, @ConsumerCal

July 1-7th is Clean Beaches Week! Did you know that July 4th is the most visited day for beaches? But also the most littered? To learn more about #CleanBeachesWeek, check out this short video from Clean Beaches Coalition. ow.ly/PQBR50Wjmll
Congratulations to the youth who completed United Friends of the Children's Young Leaders Rise program this year! #TeamUmberg was on hand to celebrate those who have persevered as they prepare to age out our foster care system. These young people are going places! #SD34
