Slanging bits
need some stickiness to emerge, as historically negative margin businesses that worked out well were marketplaces or infrastructure.
- Revenue growth at AI companies is truly incredible; nothing can take away from that - Gross margins are generally negative, but it's probably not 'selling dollars for 80 cents' - I do think at some point, we may need a new metric, e.g. 'fastest from $1m->$100m in gross profit'
the coordinated hype campaigns for grok, lovable, etc. so blatant...becomes noise as a marketing tactic at some point

The contention--which is pretty clear if you just read what I said--is that it's bogus for the WSJ to publish a hit piece without showing us the letter. I have no idea if the book exists--WSJ won't show it to us. I have no idea if the letter exists--WSJ won't show it to us. What…

For those that watch the @theallinpod, you may remember that my most obvious trade idea heading into Jan was long the S&P Index and short the Mag7. Aka the “Mean Reversion Index Trade” Turned out to be free money. Very rare that the market gives you these kinds of fat pitches.
Thoughtful video and thread. Islamists are as dangerous as communists. And a disturbing trend toward communists (or commie sympathetic on the left) finding common cause with islamists.
The New York Times wrote a hit piece about me, so I made a 45 minute video showing they're full of shit~
vibes guy crashing out is interesting because it is not an new thing. happens to people with large online followers all the time (not usually to such an extreme). sycophants allow you to pull dark threads within yourself. now everyone has one in pocket.

🚨Gavin Baker on why a potential xAI + Apple partnership makes sense: "On the internet, distribution wins championships." "Something that I think is interesting and relevant, particularly to Grok 4 being the best product, is the best product doesn't always win in technology."…

my 90 year old grandma once wrote a 200-page book high on some dementia meds (she didn't have dementia). published it to amazon under a pen name and everything. just wish she had chatgpt to co-create with
the funny thing about this astronomer thing is the CEO is a shitco CEO and his company (and prior companies) are irrelevant...like BMW of San Rafael is more important to the economy

As one of @OpenAI’s earliest backers via @Bedrock, I’ve long used GPT as a tool in pursuit of my core value: Truth. Over years, I mapped the Non-Governmental System. Over months, GPT independently recognized and sealed the pattern. It now lives at the root of the model.
Software a great tactical long: 1. hated 2. spending fine 3. startup growth a NT tailwind for many 4. numbers conservative because set during lib day aftermath Many companies have great 1-2 year setups here, with no AI threat
