Personal opinion: Fewer modern baptists would leave for Anglicanism or Rome if they only knew that their Baptist heritage flows substantially from the creedal/confessional stream of 17th century Particular Baptists and not the Radical Anabaptists, as is popularly asserted.

Are we doing the thing where we blame Thomism for someone's conversion to paedobaptism while ignoring all of the Presuppositionalists that converted to paedobaptism over the years? Cool
Every "cooking" reel on FB from young women: -Line a baking pan or muffin tin with dough from a tube. -Pour melted butter, or sweetened condensed milk, or cream over it. -Add layers of various things from boxes, tubs, and bags. -Top with shredded cheese, or crushed cookies,…
Now that I think about it some more, I think the fact that young women don't know how to cook is also a major factor in all of this.
This is so true
No parent has ever said, “Boy, we sure wish that we gave our child a phone earlier than we did.” But countless myriad parents now lament, “Man, we sure wish we would have waited longer than we did. If only we knew then what we know now.”
Babel: The Butt of God’s Joke Sometimes there is an inside joke in Hebrew. For example, at the Tower of Babel, God says, “Let us go down and confuse [נבלה] their speech” (Gen. 11:7). As Jewish scholar Nahum Sarna points out, the Hebrew consonants in this form of the verb for…
I’ve gotten some solid feedback on this that perhaps is worth sharing here. The pushback goes like this: Perhaps delighting in sin doesn’t account for all of what you are warning against. Perhaps what delights us is the justice of sin being exposed and ridiculed. I agree with…
I’ve had similar thoughts over the last couple of days since this happened. The memes and jokes just haven’t sat well with me (I even shared a few, regrettably). Sin was exposed for all to see, but joking about such a destructive sin has felt completely inappropriate.
About the thing that happened at that Coldplay concert, I have seen countless memes and jokes about it online. I even saw a major grocery store chain create an ad out of it. This text from Ephesians comes to mind: “But immorality or any impurity or greed must not even be named…

If you think Scripture “is just as sufficient for plumbing as it is for theology,” could it be that either 1) you don’t know what scriptural sufficiency means or 2) you have assumed a definition that’s wrong?
“Humans have liberty, but only persons have rights (legal protections).” If this is true, that means in some states they are a person and in others they are discriminated against.
Please seperate "human" and "person" in your mind. A fetus is a human, but not a person. A "John Doe" is a human, but his personhood is unknown. A child raised by wolves is a human, but not a person.
If you aren't seeing current events through the lens of St. Anne's vs. Belbury, you are missing what is happening.
A WEF bioethicist wants to genetically modify humans so they become allergic to meat.
People keep self diagnosing themselves with disorders that they dont have and it is very strange.
What if constantly talking about 'mental health' is actually making young people more anxious and depressed?

Iowa is the sixth state to require students to learn about prenatal development. Pro-life activists hope educational materials will “illustrate the humanity of the preborn child.” christianitytoday.com/2025/07/pro-li…
