It's time to stop fighting lose-lose culture wars and doing performative virtue signaling. Let's focus on the real challenges facing Ohio public colleges and universities. New civics centers -- like Chase at OSU -- are showing us how! dispatch.com/story/opinion/…
This is not a good development. This is throwing good money after bad. We should invest in good institutions (there are plenty), not rewarding bad actors engaged in PR damage control.
Yes, this is a good development, which many people have been pushing behind the scenes. It should be named the John Adams Center for Civic Life.
When I was at BU, I wanted to bring @CornelWest & @McCormickProf for a major event on their friendship & liberal arts. As a favor & to help them, I asked a department if they wanted to cosponsor by contributing a nominal amount. They'd get credit & it would cost almost nothing.
His inability to say that Karen Diamond was brutally murdered by an Islamist terrorist attack because she was Jewish tells me everything I need to know.
I am heartbroken by the news from Colorado where Karen Diamond, a victim of the vicious attack earlier this month, has passed away. May Karen’s memory be a blessing and a reminder that we must constantly work to eradicate hatred and violence. nytimes.com/2025/06/30/us/…
We don't talk enough about how the antisemitic 'artists' also really suck at art. Kneecap? Bob Vylan? Macklemore? Absolute garbage. And yes, Kanye sucks too. Talent in art & politics is highly related. youtu.be/-ETdLfXI6r8?si…
This is grotesque. Glorifying violence against Jews isn’t edgy. The West is playing with fire if we allow this sort of behaviour to go unchecked. The cultural establishment needs to wake up to the fact this isn’t protest, it’s incitement. (1/2)
In all my years skirting the fringes of right-wing groups, I’ve never once been at a meeting or rally where a crowd openly chanted death to anyone, let alone thousands screaming it in unison.
"Put simply, the data suggest that school board elections often fall short of the democratic ideal. Most contests are, in fact, uncontested." bit.ly/3ZrnMK2
I am profoundly alarmed about the future of the @DNC and the country by yesterday’s NYC anointment of a candidate who failed to disavow a "globalize the intifada" slogan and advocated Trotskyite economic policies. I fear it is evidence that our party is following the most…
The “globalize the intifada” movement has ignited a powder keg of terror and violence against Jews in America—from the firebombing of a Jewish governor’s home, to the cold-blooded assassination of an Israeli and Jewish couple, to a Molotov cocktail hurled at Jews demanding the…
Exploiting the Museum and the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising to sanitize “globalize the intifada” is outrageous and especially offensive to survivors. Since 1987 Jews have been attacked and murdered under its banner. All leaders must condemn its use and the abuse of history.
Something is deeply wrong at Harvard. Appeasing radicals on campus is apparently more important than safeguarding the students being hunted. Read my latest in @RealClearEd: realcleareducation.com/articles/2025/…
Second antisemitism resolution passes. 400-0-2. Two present votes: Rashida Tlaib Marjorie Taylor Greene
The red-green alliance is real. It will kill and destroy until it is dismantled. It exploits freedoms to stoke chaos. @answercoalition sponsored protests in DC, where am @AMPalestine leader wrote HAMAS IS COMIN. A @pslnational Durham, NC, leader burnt a U.S. flag at the protest.…

Created as a haven for free thinkers, UATX was the last place where I’d expected to encounter ideological litmus tests, writes @EllieAvishai. quillette.com/2025/05/16/is-…

We are aware of the recent social media post by former FBI Director James Comey, directed at President Trump. We are in communication with the Secret Service and Director Curran. Primary jurisdiction is with SS on these matters and we, the FBI, will provide all necessary support.

I made a similar argument not long ago, that the right erred in making an enemy of teachers. Schools are inherently conservative institutions; there's a lot of common ground between teachers and the right. nationalaffairs.com/publications/d…
I have a new extended report out @IWF today that offers a way forward for education policy, & for conservatives when we discuss education policy. All too often, we assume teachers are the enemy, & while there are some bad apples, most are just impeded by a giant bureaucracy. 🧵
