i was disappointed to join a meeting with him today and he not be in this suave suit still
got some pret, became a citizen, cheeky pint at the local cheers lads
All of my durable object shenanigans recently has been using the actors library, highly recommend you give it a try.
Updates for the cloudflare/actors repo: - Persist decorator supports deep value changes - Lifecycle onInit, onPersist, and onAlarm methods - nameFromRequest supports async ops - nameFromRequest throws when undefined - Added more direct/simplified examples 🧵for examples link
Heyo, it's been a while since I've asked for feedback from people using @CloudflareDev What pain points do you have using our platform? This may be as someone just getting started, using our platform for a while or someone who has been using us for years. It's easy to forget…
this just seems like pure wizardry in the best way possible... there's barely any code!
What if your React components were multiplayer out of the box? No messing around with WebSockets, no client side state tracking, use your Actor as a component and you got multiplayer real-time UIs. Coming soon to a @Cloudflare react framework near you....
if you want to try it now, just run:
Just need to get these merged in, add web socket support, tidy some docs up and really start pushing Actors.

Am I crazy for thinking the Actors library ...could... allow users to define which colo locations it shouldn't spawn into? Probably just in some crazy thinking mode and missing some pieces but something I want to ponder this weekend. github.com/cloudflare/act…
working with @BraydenWilmoth and @nandafyi to make it easier to connect to kv & hyperdrive with bindings from the dashboard! ✨ what should we add this to next?
Why do I randomly get signed up for @SubstackInc newsletters I never sign up to and how do I make it stop forever?
Introducing 'browsable-object' v0.2.0. Brayden's Browsable Durable Object, with superpowers! Added features compared to original: >🔥 query validation via validator >🔥auth is required unless explicitly disabled (more secure, harder to make mistakes!) > 🔥easy to plug into all…
BrowsableDurableObject just got even better. Previously it was made to be addable to database GUI's. Now it can just be part of your DO. > Choose which DO identifier you want to observe > Interact with the SQLite directly npm i @outerbase/browsable-durable-object (0.1.1)
Today has been a productive day for the Actor package. Plentyyyy more to come real soon... Go star your favorite repo: github.com/cloudflare/act…

If you architect a new project how you want it to be structured and provide AI rules around it... AI does a surprisingly good job contributing to it. Good rules = good output. Much better than if you just told it to "go" from the first line of code.
went minimalist for Cloudflare's latest microsite contentsignals.org :)
I think PlanetScale just won?
PlanetScale now supports Postgres.
honestly the coolest part is less about what this looks like (which ngl it looks & feels pretty dang cool)... but more about _what_ could actually be behind this experience. i'm hyped.
weekend you eye fun
