Still very early days, but.... npm create orange github.com/zebp/orange-js

What if a framework could render everything in the optimal location instead of running far away from the user and shipping them a static shell? Cloudflare Workers enables some wild rendering paradigms. we're one PTO request away from this being a reality

What if the analytics from your hosting provider could be supplied to your bundler to perform compile time optimizations to improve data locality 🤔😉
All of my durable object shenanigans recently has been using the actors library, highly recommend you give it a try.
Updates for the cloudflare/actors repo: - Persist decorator supports deep value changes - Lifecycle onInit, onPersist, and onAlarm methods - nameFromRequest supports async ops - nameFromRequest throws when undefined - Added more direct/simplified examples 🧵for examples link
I'm about 90% done on the React Server Components rewrite of @orangeframework, gotta get it in shape for a friday demo 🤓
My server component magic is delayed by a week, I spilled a TON of coffee on my MacBook this morning and hadn’t pushed most of my changes. Please pray for a low Genius Bar bill 🥲
I wish the react flight protocol was documented, I want to tweak the server component payload over the wire but nothing is documented 😭
What if your React components were multiplayer out of the box? No messing around with WebSockets, no client side state tracking, use your Actor as a component and you got multiplayer real-time UIs. Coming soon to a @Cloudflare react framework near you....
Cloudflare is not a traditional compute provider, it is a programmable highly-distributed network. The network is the computer and RSC is the abstraction for scheduling compute across the network.
Cloudflare Workers and React Server Components are a match made in heaven, the more I play around with them the more I realize the potential to revolutionize how fast apps are built. I can’t put into words how powerful this combination is, I’m gonna have to build a lot of demos.

my coworkers make the coolest shit ever, node compat with workers is gonna be so damn amazing once this drops
Soon, http.createServer will be supported by @Cloudflare workers and you can use your fastify/express.js apps! github.com/cloudflare/wor…
It's always interesting checking if node supports a web feature since you go to check the github issues only to find out that a coworker has put up a PR for it. happens more often than you'd think
What about stateful Durable Objects that have 0 boilerplate? Most of the DOs I write are just some RPC functions over some state, so what if that's all they were in code....

Last server-component tweet for the day, but here's built in support for Cloudflare's new actors library in my experimental RSC framework.

very very very tempted to pivot @orangeframework to RSC.... rsc-demo.orange-js.dev

Wow who would have thought that electing a rapist would have complicated the release of the Epstein Files?
