It's how we roll. Last year we provided a Blackmoor Market for indie RPG publishers to sell their wares at Arnecon. It's a permanent feature. If you are a small publisher and want to do some marketing and sales, we don't even take a cut of your sales. Your sales can help you…
Welcome, weary traveler, to my shop. How may I assist you? Yes. We love supporting small independent game publishers. If you publish and are attending the Con we have an "Independent Publisher" table where you can vend your wares. Email [email protected] for the details.
Toxic Waste I am going to say something extremely Toxic and Grognardy. I can't help but spew. The best Referees and Players, for D&D or any other RPG, have read history. RPG Splat Books are designed to entertain the lowest common denominator. They will not help you raise the…

It isn't Nostalgia if you still play like a Boss. That is my kind of game.
Let's play the nostalgia game! You DM, I'll color in the dice...
Yup. The game for adults, or kids who are smart nerds. There is a reason I get along so well with most gamers I meet, referring to all gamers as my kind of people. We're the Nerd-lings. Very proud to be a Nerdling. 😄
"The Original Adult Fantasy Role-Playing Game for 3 or more players"
"Do you want to be a Paladin in tonight's RPG session?" "Naw, gonna play a Leg Nazi." I'm still pondering what the Leg Nazi is up to. Looks very suspicious to me. I had never known until now that there even were Leg Nazis. I need some time to process this event.
Aesthetically, which of these do you prefer?
I recall speaking to gamer friends about the film as we were making it. They were all saying: Oh man, gamers are gonna be all over this. My prediction at the time: Nope, it will be a sleeper. Yup, we made the documentary about Dungeons & Dragons origins. All I can do is post…

Someone needs to stop this evil man.
So I’m running Call of Cthulhu. I needed the players to dislike the NPC I’m introducing. They’re in a bar. I had my NPC order a kale margarita. Problem solved.
I can always rely on Lee. Ah yes, the "I want to Forget'em Realms."😁 Nu D&D is pure bubble gum. It's like pop music for early teens who have not yet discovered the truly gritty and dark, or just plain weird, stuff. It makes sense from a business perspective, younger…
They say you cant judge a book by its cover I call bullshit on that
I see modern art for RPGs and I am fine if people like that kind of stuff. But this! This is what my fighters look like. Classic Dungeons & Dragons all the way baby!
Aesthetically, which of these do you prefer?
I just got screwed by PAYPAL! I went to check my account and discovered I had a whole $150.00 of unclaimed money. Seems good so far. Except... I can now justify to myself that I can afford to get the $500 dollar worth of items I want because it is only 350.00 now! Ok, I know…

Interesting. Had not seen this yet. Is this an attention getting scam. One account has me blocked, but it mentions an account which doesn't even do game things. 0 followers / 0 followed. I am off to block! 😅😂🤣

For those who are small publishers, Arnecon 3 will have a Blackmoor Market for Indie RPG game publishers. There is no fee, you just put your product on display in a stack with extra stock underneath the table, so we can show everyone's games for sale in a small footprint. If…
I have had a lot of people ask me if I am going to GENCON. I have never been. It is my understanding that it is very tightly focused on WotC D&D. Is this really a good place for me to invest my time and money in marketing and positioning? Fertile ground? Should I go next year?
A few years ago I went to VengerCon. I had a blast and got to meet a lot of awesome gamers I had only met online. I prefer the small local conventions over the big Disney Land meets Las Vegas style ones. Lots of quality time with good folk. vengersatanis.blogspot.com/2025/07/conven…
