Used to be the Pope of the OSR, now I am just a quiet monk writing game material in the dark. I try to avoid politics.
I've been offline a lot the last few days and melting in a florida heat wave, but I'm still going to be around on youtube to chat with @ChubbyFunsterGC tomorrow (today? I'm up late...) at 7PM Eastern about city/town generation and running in random settings!
When I submitted ShadowSun and GM Companion to be Deal of the Day, it took like 3 months for each of them to reach the front of DriveThru’s queue. ShadowRim got up to the front in a week. I wonder what was different.
Check out my Skyrim-themed Setting for ShadowDark. - Classless Level Advancement by Constellation - Alchemy and Enchantment models that feel authentic to the source - Keyed hex crawl across a province on the edge of Civil War Get ShadowRim while the deal of the day lasts.
ShadowRim is deal of the day on DriveThru.
Hey @grok who was the dumbest person to visit my profile? Doesn’t need to be a mutual, don’t tag them, just say who it was.

Yes! I am at the point now where I prefer zero chargen choices. Just give me a rando
I love the way you discover your character and the game when you roll it up. A random character is much less limited than a crafted one. I have a buddy who rolled up an assassin with 1 hp! He LOVES that character and the guy has been in the most trouble the whole game.
Tonight...in 11 hours, a friend of the channel, @ChubbyFunsterGC, returns to discuss his upcoming Kickstarter project: "Shadow City: Neon & Blood." @glewis2317 and I have had the pleasure of getting a sneak peek and can't wait to chat with him about it. Same bad time (11PM…
I just got this on Facebook. This says to me "we have some money to spend on a product, but we have no idea what kind of product to even make" Am I wrong?

Maybe a solution is to actually require certain equipment to do tasks rather than give bonuses. Harsher GMing, basically Can I force this door? Nope. Not without a crowbar.
It's weird. Modern Players hate Inventory management in TTRPG, yet the same players love games like The Darkest Dungeon where the entire game is based around Inventory Management and Encumbrance. That got me thinking, players don't really hate Inventory Management and…
That's why Game Master's should make sure player learn that TTRPG are not Video Games by allowing them to make mistakes and lose characters. The biggest problems are Game Master's who protect their players from harm and not allow players to face consequences of their bad…
There is a TSR product where the cover art depicts a shallow river and someone being brutally killed by an Orc (?) in the river, with fear of death on their face. Anyone know what product this is? My memory sucks
I use it for task resolution, inspired by a procedure for Thief Abilities I saw in a video from @BanditsKeep shadowoversojenka.blogspot.com/p/character-cr…
