The Bad Uncle
@TheBadUncle
The uncle you don't want to listen to. TTRPGs and Wargames. NOTE: I am often using X on my phone. Apologies for the errors a screen keyboard sometimes create.
Thanks to TDD and LoW, I have a new idea for next year's get-together...
DEUS VULT!
While we're gaming, you all can grab a seat and have a drink... (This is all that survived cases of it at one year's tourney 😁)

Castles and Crusades day! Wherein our stout-heart adventurers and heroes continue to search for the usurper to eliminate the threat and recover the heir's throne. Where ever it is, after centuries of chaos.

Let's play the nostalgia game! You DM, I'll color in the dice...

From the "Cool stuff we picked up along the way" pile. Both of these were so long overdue from a gamer perspective that we snatched them up and ran them. Both are expansive enough to be re-run with some name changes, and maybe some critical details changed.
More wargaming must-have references: if you model US conflicts in the age of muskets and black powder, Don Troiani reference books are indispensable. He is an artistic historian, and his work is researched and documented at the unit level. Even button-counters approve.

This morning, I woke up before time to get up. Happens on occasion, and normally, I just go back to sleep. Today, my youngest's alarm was going off. Not loud enough in our bedroom to wake me, but annoyingly faint once awake. He must have gotten up early and gone. I got up.
Wargame reference must-haves. If you model armor, and like accuracy, the Tank Encyclopedia can't be beat. While online resources are better than ever, this shows multiple actual paint schemes for just about every tank type of ww2, all together.

This ranks pretty well on the "Fun stiluff we picked up along the way" scale. Though we have put it on a USB dosk and put the box/disks away these days.

I love to paint up minis for gaming, but honestly, the Schleiss minis are great for display!

Shot of the painting area before we took the spray booth down and the boy took over that station (Also have a dining table in here for large projects).

You straight-up did. Funny this comes up right after. Make all tieflings be shunned by society for being infernal offspring, and a chunk of this goes away 😁
@TheBadUncle ! Back me up on this! Didn't I just say that night... DARKvision was a problem in 5e in discord???
From the "fun stuff we picked up along the way" pile. These were great. Inspirational little hook/ backstory and of you played 3e, enough stats to run the adventure. I mostly used them as inspiration for HM games, but we played a couple in 3e campaigns.
