It is devastating to see two young people killed for falling in love. Our cultures of honour and shame have their limits - a brother killing his own brother is a tragedy on all humanity.
Those who claim that shaheed Shahnawaz died of an overdose are ignorant agency fools. His autopsy revealed that he was not only poisoned but also violently beaten to death and the apartment was turned completely upside down. May you be made answerable for your ignorance.
The senseless murder of Raza, Ahmed and Asif Sabri is an attack on all Pakistanis who wish to live safe and happy lives. Like the Sabri shaheeds before them they expressed their message of humanity and unity through music. We condemn this act and I express my deepest condolences
My deepest condolences are with our brothers and sisters in Punjab, Potwar and KPK - Jhelum, Chakwal and Lahore especially as rains claim 120 lives with the numbers rising everyday. Hyderabad faces similar deluges. Water drainage and storage are priorities for Pakistan.
Urban flooding isn’t just caused by climate change. It’s the result of poor planning, weak infrastructure, disappearing green spaces & zero accountability. Pointing to climate alone lets those in power off the hook. It’s a failure of governance as much as an environmental crisis.
Shaheed Shahnawaz Bhutto was a man of wit, strength and strategy. He was martyred on July 18 1985 at the age of 26. He fought against an oppressive military junta that followed and murdered him in his own home. Those who killed him remain in power today and we continue to resist.

The fight for the rights of many communities in Sindh continues. Sindh is not a monolith, we are many languages, histories cultures and stories. The Sheedi community is one such community that fought for Sindh. Today their language is almost extinct and prejudice is rampant.
Pakistan should have been represented at this urgent meeting. It should have joined The Hague Group when it was founded. It is tragic and shameful.
30 countries, led by Colombia and South Africa, are meeting in Bogotá to develop a strategy to end Israel's genocide in Gaza. It is a shame that Pakistan is not part of this group. We need to move beyond lip service & join global efforts against Zionist aggression in West Asia.
heavy rains in Hyderabad and all over the country show a need for local government bodies that can handle district and UC related issues such as street drainage, road fixtures, footpath cleaning, park maintenance. Our current top down structure only facilitates corruption.
