Training is really a collection of data points across time. It’s why you should track your training—all of it. After last weeks 280, I thought 282.5 might be the play, but I loaded up 285 anyway. It was a data point that I ignored. This failed rep is a bummer, but it’s my own…
I feel bad for people like her. She has no idea none of this will count since she didn’t use cuffs. Embarrassing.
IFBB pro Ms. Olympia competitor turned best female powerlifter of all time who probably has more muscle at a lower bodyfat than you and squats and deadlifts over 600 lbs each, has a message about your stupid cuffs that I wanted to share.
No, brother. They don’t. None of them.
You people do understand sarcasm and inside jokes right?
Guys will literally anything except run their squat to 405.
Serial 'butt sniffer' arrested multiple times for smelling random women in public
Best way to get your bench up is to lose a leg so you don't have to squat or pull

A good way to make your 10s go up is to get your 5s up. Surprised I can still count past 5, honestly.
Getting strong under the barbell has been the single best decision I could have ever made. I’m a very short guy with a small frame. But getting in the gym and putting on the muscle I have totally shaped my adult years. You get so much more than bigger muscles, from dedicated…
Tried the Wolverine thing and bitched out hard. Hurt a lot.
Why is your left calf so skinny?
A client just asked me if he could get to 400lbs on his squat. I told him, 405 is the number. 400 basically doesn’t even count. 🤷🏻♂️
When my buddy is celebrating his 400lb deadlift PR when he was just 5lbs away from 4 plates
I realize I undersold this painting pretty hard. Used to work with a guy at a lumber yard who delivered for us, part time--Marty Roper. He was a semi-retired artist who was a painter, really, but had spent the latter years of his career created cards for Hallmark. Big, jolly,…
As long as Big Bruce is watching, I know I’m safe. A very cool gift from an old co-worker after my accident.

Many of the guys who scoff at @sam_gzstrength for his Standards 1.0™️will also say that I am fat because I don’t have a chiseled 6-pack. I think a connection can be drawn here… 2x3@280

Many gym goers think bigger muscles and getting stronger are two totally separate things.
IMO They don’t practice progressive overload.
Having a prolonged moment of sadness, or something akin to, is fairly rare. However, the reality that my leg is gone is one that smacks me in the face almost always. There’s an old joke—I think Mitch Hedberg—about wearing a turtle neck; it’s like being strangled by a really…

The cope in the comments is too good. Like with most everything in life... Whether you think you can or can't, you're right. If more people just did the program instead of arguing about whether it works or not, we'd have far less weak people walking around.
A 135 Press, 225 Bench, 315 squat, and 405 Deadlift isn't "strong" as much as it is "not weak"
At the seminar this past weekend, a handful of attendees had a hard time understanding the bar path in The Squat™️. Your body has a Center of Mass and the barbell has a Center of Mass. When we put a barbell on our back this new Lifter/Barbell System has a new 'Combined Center…
If you want a generally irritated balding guy who doesn't walk real great anymore, to call you a pussy while you squat, I'm probably a lot cheaper than Rip. brucetroutbarbellclub.com
It's effective to take every set you do under the bar like Uncle Rip is watching you during the "Around the Room" at The Seminar
Was pretty drained after the seminar this past weekend. This volume day felt like trash. But that’s why you record your work—this moved much better than it felt like it did. 4x5@245
