Bay Ridge Democrats
@BayRidgeDems
We are a grassroots political club for working families, young professionals, students, and seniors who care about Bay Ridge and want to keep it moving forward.
This from @JustinBrannan is as relevant today as it was when he wrote it in 2023. cityandstateny.com/opinion/2023/0…
We're hearing the Kings County Republican Party is in full panic code red meltdown over this -- as they should be. Stay tuned!

I want to thank Matthew Fischetti of the NY Post! Someone cast a ballot in my father's name fraudulently, and it is unacceptable. I also want to thank @JustinBrannan and @chrismccreight for their help in this matter.
‘Knuckleheads’ cast dead voter ballots in NYC primary as calls for probe intensify: ‘This one really stinks of voter fraud’ trib.al/ViV60EJ
So here we've got dead people voting, and living voters calling my office to say someone cast a ballot in their name. And don't forget the Chairman of the Republican Party, who appoints BOE workers, was on the ballot. This demands a full investigation because I smell inside job.
There must be a full investigation into this fraud, including the Brooklyn GOP's involvement. Election integrity is key to our democracy and nobody is above the law here. Silence from the Republican Chair is very concerning.

Two dead people, and at least one living person who didn't vote, supposedly cast their ballot in the Republican primary in my City Council race. I'm calling upon the District Attorney or the Attorney General's office to conduct a full investigation. nypost.com/2025/07/22/us-…
When your local safety-net hospital starts laying people off due to Trump's “Big Beautiful Bill” cuts, make sure you call @NMalliotakis to thank her. BK (718) 306-1620 SI (718) 568-2870 DC (202) 225-3371 @GNYHA estimates NY’s hospitals will lose $13.5B in funding annually.

I'm honored to earn the endorsement of @BayRidgeDems, a progressive political club in the neighborhood where I once worked and love to spend as much time as possible.
This but to “solidarity forever”
BRD is proud to endorse Zohran Mamdani @ZohranKMamdani in the 2025 General Election for Mayor. We’re fired up for a mayor with the will and know-how to build a more affordable city for all, and we can’t wait to help push his groundbreaking campaign across the finish line!

some news...
SCOOP: @chrismccreight is challenging @AlecBrookKrasny for the Assembly once again. More here: cityandstateny.com/politics/2025/…
Last year, my opponent @AlecBrookKrasny promised to lower prices and make your life more affordable. What has he done since? Nothing. He passed zero bills in Albany and brought no funding back to the district.
Next year, I will be running for Assembly in the 46th District, which includes Bay Ridge, Dyker Heights, Coney Island, Sea Gate & Brighton Beach. Our neighborhoods deserve someone who will go to Albany to fight for resources and to pass laws to make NY more affordable for all.
.@JustinBrannan, the outgoing City Council Finance cahir, reflects on his four years in the post and says "when you're fighting with the mayor time flies." He has led many hard-fought budget battles with Mayor Adams over the past four years.
Major credit to budget boss @JustinBrannan who’s been fighting in the trenches for years, and worked to the final moment to increase funding for immigrant legal services:
On Friday, the @NYCCouncil announced an agreement on the FY26 budget including ~$1.7B of our priorities such as expanded 7-day library service, $50M for immigrant legal services, a historic 0-2 universal child care pilot, $4B capital towards the City for All housing plan + more.
Special thanks to @JustinBrannan - the people's budget "bulldog." Today's budget restorations to CUNY, 3K & more could not have happened without you. ❤️ #CareNotCuts

Nicole back on her media blitz talking about “foreign gangs”, Karl Marx, and matching funds... anything to distract her constituents from the fact that she voted to cut their health insurance and food stamps to fund tax breaks for the rich

Hesitant. Nervous. Not confident. This is what it looks like when you are simply parroting leadership talking points. In reality, Nicole has no idea how bad the Kill Medicaid bill will hurt her constituents but she also doesn't care. She serves the president, not the people.
My soulless DC rep @NMalliotakis says “nobody loses benefits” and then goes on to say seniors on Medicaid should get up off their couch and go work 20 hours a week to keep their insurance. Then she runs away. NY's 11th Congressional District has 300,000+ people on Medicaid.
