How can this be justified @gloshospitals? PAs are being paid more than doctors to supervise and teach doctors while eventually leading ward rounds. This job offer MUST be withdrawn. Doctors, see how your roles are undervalued. You are slowly being replaced. STRIKE

Glad the majority of motion 11 which is against Palantir’s software for the NHS Federated data has passed. This should allow @TheBMA to fight back against the 330 million pound contract given by the gov. This motion is pro-patient and I look forward to it being actioned.

Great turnout at the pizza and pay event at GWH in Swindon where I talked about why we are balloting to doctors and the journey to FPR. Many I spoke to are keen to send off their ballot and vote YES for strike action!

You mentioned pay restoration is a journey. With a 1% real uplift this will take over 20+ years to restore our pay to 2008 levels. This leaves us with no choice. I'll be voting yes on the ballot and telling other doctors to do so as well. Negotiate and give us a better deal.

Doctors are not with 26% less than they were in 2008. We need restoration of our pay to retain doctors in the NHS. We are haemorrhaging doctors to Oz, NZ and Canada and the only way to stem the bleeding is to pay doctors
