The Scotiabank at Gerrard and Broadview heavily vandalized early this morning. Windows broken and red paint splashed all over the building.

Today marks the 5th time this July where the temperature has topped 30 degrees in Toronto. We might double that number by the middle of next week.

So many new fire starts in Manitoba and Northwest Ontario. This is satellite from yesterday afternoon showing dozens of smoke plumes.

Mediterranean Sea temperatures are now on their third straight week of breaking records. As of July 8, the most anomalous conditions were south of Ibiza, Spain, where seas were 6.4˚C (11.5˚F) warmer than average. Actual sea temperatures were near 30˚C (86˚F).
The tornado warned thunderstorm is now weakening across eastern Ontario. Tornado warning should be dropped shortly.

I've shared this map many times over the years, and unfortunately it still holds true. #FlashFloodAlley
Poor air quality out there this afternoon in Toronto. I think it’s actually from all of last nights July 4th fireworks to the south rather than our usual forest fire smoke.

Comfortable weather today but the heat is on this weekend. A new Heat Warning was just issued for southern Ontario including the GTA. Temps in the low 30s and humidex near 40 both Saturday and Sunday.
