Structures of GluK2 kainate receptor in complex with spermine and polyamine-containing toxins elucidate the trapping mechanism of channel block and provide a template for designing new drugs. @shantigangwar @MariaKarela3 @LauraYen42 @MKCMU nature.com/articles/s4146…
In collaboration with the Posthaus Lab, we identify ANTXR2—also the anthrax toxin receptor—as the receptor for Clostridium perfringens NetF pore forming toxin. Cryo-EM shows extensive contact between the pore and the receptor #Microbiology #CryoEM doi.org/10.1101/2025.0…
@TheBlanchardLab and I are looking for a driven postdoctoral fellow to lead our joint efforts combining single-molecule biophysics with cryo-EM to understand important mechanisms of novel genome-editors. We have a very exciting joint project that addresses key questions in the…
Happy to share our last work. Wadjet-I SMC hinges are gates allowing selective bypass of obstacles connected through ssDNA BUT are dispensable for extrusion of naked DNA. Great teamwork with @drhonsworth, Taschi at Gruber lab with James & @DNA_topology biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
In our latest work we visualize continuous motion of nucleosomal DNA by human chromatin remodeler SNF2H. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
I‘m happy to share our work on laser flash melting to overcome preferred orientation in cryo-EM samples! 🥳❄️🔬 More infos on the underlying mechanism of particle redistribution and the use for preferred orientation issues in the 🧵 or here: biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
Initial results with nsTEM showed promising results also for the big proteins. So, we reached out to the fantastic @DCI_EM for cryoEM investigation and obtained high resolution structures for a 950 and 1000 AA protein, completly de novo designed! .
Thanks to everyone for the amazing response to BindCraft! 🔥🚀🖥️ Feel free to DM me or write on Github if encounter targets where the pipeline fails to generate binders, we want to use the feedback to improve it! P.S: here is a "helicopter" binder against DerF21 dimer
Have you ever wanted to design protein binders with ease? Today we present 𝑩𝒊𝒏𝒅𝑪𝒓𝒂𝒇𝒕, a user-friendly and open-source pipeline that allows to anyone to create protein binders de novo with high experimental success rates. @befcorreia @sokrypton biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
