🚨🚨 Thank You 🚨🚨 I’m incredibly proud and honoured to have been elected as a National Officer of the Fire Brigades Union. To every member who took the time to vote — thank you. To those who supported my campaign, engaged in conversations, challenged ideas, and stood…

SHUT IT DOWN 2 Five sites, one day. Not a wheel turned. Victory to the Brum Bin workers. #Megapickets work, pass it on. #StrikeMap
Officer School 1 -3 October 2025 Last chance to apply. ... be part of the 40yr Celebration, and get the Merch 👍🏻
🗑️ Bin there, done that, get the t-shirt 🪧Yesterday’s MEGAPICKET was huge. 🎉To celebrate the return of mass picketing, we’ve launched a limited edition T. Help us do more of this work, more often: bit.ly/MegapicketTshi…. This is a pre- order, t’s despatched in August.
NEW: @wesstreeting has been slammed by several trade union general secretaries after claiming doctors' strikes undermine the trade union movement. 'Don't question the mandate of the doctors when your own constituents came within a whisker of removing you.'
🔥Response times would remain “favourable” to who?? It’s certainly not favourable to the local communities waiting longer for a fire appliance in an emergency situation👇🚒🔥@SaveBalmossie @fbunational @FbuEast @FBUScotNorth @WestScotlandFBU @FBU_Scotland_EC @UnityConsults…

Birmingham bin workers cannot be expected to accept an £8000 pay cut. An attack on bin workers, is an attack on all workers.
✊🏻 members from @FBURegion5 and beyond stand with striking workers ✊🏻Power concedes nothing without demand ✊🏻Victory to the Birmingham bin workers @UniteBirmingham #BirminghamBinWorkers #StrikeMap
Dear @wesstreeting This govt doesn’t do “working together” — unless you’re a billionaire. From Birmingham bin workers to resident doctors, the chaos is clear. Divide and rule: an old trick. Shameful to see it from our government. @TheBMA
Dear resident doctors…
Don’t question the mandate of the BMA when your own constituents came within a whisker of removing you. To see a Labour minister asking resident doctors to break their own picket lines is shameful. I can assure you no postal worker will cross those hospital picket lines.
Dear resident doctors…
Victory to the Birmingham bin workers ✊ Fantastic display of solidarity at the megapicket - shutting down multiple sites and blocking scab agency workers from undermining the strike Full props to @strike_map for the tireless work making sure today ran smoothly!
HELLO and GOOD MORNING to everyone but *especially* to the HEROIC Birmingham bin workers on strike and every single person who’s on the picket lines today supporting them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ❤️
Members headed to Birmingham for an early start this morning to stand with the Birmingham bin strikers. Great to hear our General Secretary @UnionSteveW address striking bin workers and giving them a message of hope for victory. Victory to the workers.
✊ Standing in solidarity with Birmingham’s refuse workers this morning on the mega-picket at Perry Barr. An injury to one is an injury to all — we won’t stand by while pay is slashed and dignity stripped. #BinStrike #Solidarity #Birmingham ✊🪧🗑️
🚨 Pay Cuts? Absolute Rubbish. 🚨 Proud to stand with Birmingham bin workers alongside @FBUEastMidlands firefighters. No one should face a pay cut. No worker, ever!! 💪 Solidarity with the strikers — they deserve better. #SupportTheStrike #NoToPayCuts #BirminghamBinWorkers

EPSU pays tribute to the 10 firefighters who tragically lost their lives battling wildfires in Türkiye. These are not just climate disasters but political failures. When public services are underfunded & understaffed, lives are lost. 🔥 We need public investment, not austerity.
Bet that @BedsFire ACO didn’t tell the media reporter how many appliances were off the run at that time of the interview….. Well done for exposing @JPNewell7
If thats the case, why are officers going round fire crews and telling them how they are going to be redistributed around the brigade as there isn’t enough people to crew everything and as a result, you are removing some fire engines from availability 🤷🏽♂️ bedfordindependent.co.uk/bedfordshire-f…
ORGREAVE INQUIRY ANNOUNCED! The government have announced an inquiry will take place into Orgreave. Please see and share our press release otjc.org.uk/orgreave-truth…
"These workers are expected to take an £8,000 cut in their wages. That is unacceptable.. the way they've been treated is outrageous" @UnionSteveW from the @fbunational on the Birmingham bin workers
.@UnionSteveW from the @fbunational: "86% of the public support public ownership of water, because they experience on a day to day basis a failing water system... the Labour govt need to get rid of the [profiteering private water companies] as quick as possible" 🎯
The BBC continues to push the idea that it will cost £100 billion to renationalise the water industry. That figure comes from a report funded by the private water companies! #politicslive
The problem they're dancing around on #PoliticsLive is that the Cunliffe review of the water system was specifically forbidden from naming the real problem: privatisation. Without clearing out the grubby profiteers, there's no way to clean up our water.
