If socialism is the answer, why are millions immigrating from socialist countries to the US, but few if any Americans are migrating to socialist countries
If Engardio is recalled, Lurie will appoint the replacement who won't be a progressive & will have the incumbent's advantage for next election If Engardio beats a recall it will be a big problem because the choices will be Engardio vs a progressive which means two bad candidates
No. I’m going through public records for a story on who these women are. Christin’s father ran Alcoa Aluminum and owns a $10 million home in the city. Christin and her husband left big corporate jobs back east to slum it as bookstore owners in the Haight. After helping pass out…
Another electric bike hits a pedestrian — you all have seen the crazy video of @LukeBornheimer flying down Valencia, blowing stop signs and nearly taking people out. These things go fast. When will @StreetsForAllSF and @walksf call for regulation?
You’re Not Just Paying Taxes in California — You’re Paying Hidden Fees Everywhere 🧵 From smog fees to garbage surcharges, California has quietly stacked dozens of extra costs onto daily life. Here’s a breakdown of the hidden charges you’re likely paying — and what they’re…
From sources: Electric scooter hit bicyclist at unit block of Jones Street last night. Bicyclist in critical condition. Electric scooters and electric motorbicycles need to be regulated. Victim was not on electric bike.
A MUST READ - the correlation between traffic “calming” congestion and traffic deaths. Thanks @SFMTA_Muni - you’ve done a bang up job of screwing up our streets, and it has probably caused more deaths - not less…

Activists and politicians used a loophole called "immediately prior" to justify claims that most homeless in San Francisco were from here. For the record, "immediately prior" means two weeks. 🙄
Remember when SF Gov & non-profits insisted around 80% of the drug addicts on our streets were locals and they had the (false) data to prove it while the local press parroted their talking points without bothering to fact check or challenge it all
In 2020, CA's Sec. of State entered into an illegal contract for voter education with a firm founded by an Obama/Biden staffer. After Biden won, Gov. Newsom appointed that guy as U.S. Senator to replace Harris when she became VP. "Democracy," Newsom style.
I will not stand by while Republicans try to erase Californians' votes to protect @realDonaldTrump from the backlash of his own policies. I am for fairness — and I won't let my state be ruthlessly attacked without fighting back.
May, 2011, Jennifer Friedenbach complaining $300 million spent hasn’t solved anything. As of today, she’s spent $822 MILLION in Prop. C funds to create around 1,500 net units and 600 shelter beds. Nothing has been solved 14 years later. Time for her to go. youtube.com/watch?v=U_QAcK…
3) Finally we need to end the practice of using city contracting as a jobs program for far left activist obstructionists. Every entity and individual must align with performance metrics and with putting the community of taxpayers and our economy first.
5x more people coming to an apartment showing in San Francisco compared to six months ago 😮
The apartment rental market in San Francisco is kinda wild right now. Just had 25 people show up to see a vacant unit. For reference, a unit in the same building had just 5 people show up for the first showing back in February.
How wrong Joel was; Foot traffic on the first 30 days of closing the Great Highway was 149,222. Over the next 30 day, foot traffic declined 65% to 67,748 Per Rec & Park's numbers
🌅 Sunset Dunes is taking care of business — literally. Foot traffic is up. Sales are booming. And people are discovering all the great things our neighborhood has to offer. That’s real progress. That’s results. Let’s keep it going. Vote No on A Stop the recall #SunsetDunes
🎥July 21 2025 Please make this video make sense. Park n Rec deployed there Rangers in nice neighborhoods, to tell kids that they can’t skate in the parks. But you have other neighborhoods that’s in a dysfunctional area, where people are in the parks armed with gun’s, and using…
Over time, I came to the conclusion that many of my anti-capitalist friends were motivated more by their hatred of capitalism than by a positive love and care for Africans. Once I realized their hatred of capitalism was more important to them than the lives of actual Africans,…
Daily reminder: Neurotic people invent problems for themselves and others.
Sara worked as a director at HomeRiseSF which got in trouble for misappropriation of government funds that were supposed to be used to house the homeless. Instead, they gave a bunch of employees credit cards with $10k credit limits with that money. I'm sure that was legal. 🙄
I recently wrote about how the EU was threatening free speech in globalizing its regulation of social media. jonathanturley.org/2025/03/24/a-n… Now, French prosecutors have declared X platform an "organized crime group" in a criminal investigation.

This is social contagion, a problem spreading across the US, UK, and Canada. If we want downtowns, if we want people to shop in person and not just order everything on line, we have to take shoplifting more seriously.
At the last appeal of IrishCC rebuild at Ca.Coastal Commission SFgov said there would be no impact on traffic if GH is closed from the planned 800 person venue. They are compulsive liars.
Per MTA's own study, Lower Great Highway midweek traffic volumes have doubled and tripled since the closure of the Great Highway.( Compare column 3 to 1 ) MTA is misrepresenting the facts, as usual.
Per MTA Sunset Boulevard traffic volume is up 28% since UGH closure, but below pandemic levels.
