🌅 Sunset Dunes is taking care of business — literally. Foot traffic is up. Sales are booming. And people are discovering all the great things our neighborhood has to offer. That’s real progress. That’s results. Let’s keep it going. Vote No on A Stop the recall #SunsetDunes
Tried to show off my spice tolerance for the latest #SunsetFoodieTour video. The Szechuan peppers had other plans. 🌶️😅 Grateful to Helen for the hospitality and incredible flavors. Supporting our Sunset small businesses has never tasted so good! #TheSunset #EngardioEats
An oceanfront park instead of a highway draws more customers to surrounding local businesses, who would have guessed 😁
At Black Bird Bookstore on Irving Street between 46th and 47th Avenues, owner Kathryn Grantham told SFGATE her sales are up 50% over last year, when the Great Highway was closed to cars on weekends, and jumped by 30% following the opening of the park. sfgate.com/local/article/…
The district is more fun and has more joy—thank you, supervisor!
Having the ability to walk / bike through the park has caused me to discover many more local businesses. I used to go to Ocean Beach once a month. Now I go every week and I often stop at Black Bird and a couple other spots that I never visited before the park opened.
Agreed 🏆
"Joel Engardio is not perfect. No elected official is. But he is present, thoughtful and committed to a shared vision of the Sunset as a vibrant, inclusive and livable neighborhood. This recall isn’t about accountability. It’s about division. And I reject it. We may not all…

🔍 After recent break-ins on Taraval, I visited our small businesses to check in, share city programs that can help — and make myself available. Anytime someone is a victim of crime, it’s a violation. It shakes your sense of safety, and it’s not okay. Our local merchants…
Today, with the help of the entire Board of Supervisors, I signed a legislative package that cuts red tape and bring common-sense changes to our permitting system. Thanks to this first batch of PermitSF legislation: ➡️If you want to put out tables and chairs on the sidewalk…
I’m out knocking on doors this evening, reminding folks that we’re making real progress in the Sunset — on public safety, education, and support for small businesses. Let’s keep moving San Francisco forward. ✅ Vote NO on Prop A — this recall is unnecessary and wasteful
I’m honored to be endorsed by the @uniteddemclubsf They said: "Joel has been a steadfast advocate for public safety, more housing, and a more vibrant San Francisco. He’s delivered real results for the Sunset — and we need to keep moving forward.” Let’s do just that. #NoOnA
This is only possible bc of the relationships on the 2nd floor Grateful for the leadership of Board President @RafaelMandelman and the partnership of @scsherrill @DannySauter @JoelEngardio @bilalmahmood @mattdorsey @JackieFielder_ @shamannwalton + Sups. Chan, Melgar & Chen ###

In City Hall, the Board passed: ✅ A responsible budget that advances our recovery ✅ $10s of millions to tackle the homelessness crisis thru Prop C ✅ 2 packages of PermitSF bills to help small biz & homeowners ✅ A plan to tackle RV homelessness & give families a better option
There’s a new era of collaboration in San Francisco City Hall Today, Mayor @DanielLurie, @RafaelMandelman & @sfbos delivered a series of major wins for San Francisco—and the biggest day yet for Mayor Lurie’s legislative agenda 🧵
