A handful of millionaire condo owners in this bldg want to block a public school & homes for 150 very low-to-moderate-income families, 100 artist residences, & 650-800 renters. Some JC politicians see this as a tough choice. Pls sign the email below to make it easier for them:

This really says it all, doesn’t it? This planter barely lasted a month, at the very intersection where a 6-year-old was recently killed. There are no accidents.
I incorrectly implied that the rezoning proposal opposed by Councilman Solomon for 535 Monmouth St would've added affordable units. It would've only shifted the bulk of the building.
Another ugly lie. Newport proposed adding NO units. They proposed shifting the height and bulk both pre- and post-IZO. They refused to add a single affordable unit. Here's the screenshot from their application...

Good that the new TTC CEO will be car free. A good sign.
Is there a single city in the US that is producing more than 100 onsite affordable units per year through a universal IZO law that applies to all by-right developments? SF, Boston, & Portland Oregon certainly aren't. NYC, PHL, & CHI don't have these types of laws...

Ngl they need to bring this type of shit to the US. A lot of you don't belong in the road at all.

A meeting on street safety in Lafayette/Communipaw and discussion of safety changes to Lafayette St on Monday:

This certainly sounds familiar!
It’s funny to hear “the area is already too dense and congested” as an argument for NIMBYism — if the area didn’t already have high rises, then we’d hear that the new building is “out of scale/character” Leaving you with no acceptable conditions for a new high rise
