New preprint from the lab Maximizing meiotic crossover rate reveals the map of Crossover Potential biorxiv.org/content/10.110… We pushed the meiotic crossover machinery to the limit and had some surprises! @JuliJing @Qichao_Lian
Lastly, and this is definitely the icing on the cake -- we found a gene regulatory mechanism that can likely explain all of this. Mutants for this mechanism show *zero* epigenetic aging, as well as no increase in TE transcripts in older tissues
