I have always held in contempt those intellectuals based in urban centers (or abroad) who romanticise armed struggle without bearing the consequences. They are ruining lives while building their own social media profiles.

The grandfather of the child beaten to death in a swat madressa says the child would complain of the maulvi trying to molest him and didn't want to go back. But the family forced him to return, which led to his killing.

A question I ask myself EVERY SINGLE DAY

The horrific honour killing in Balochistan is another example of how obsolete notions of honour are destroying our society. It's not enough to punish perpetrators of this crime. We need a cultural revolution to fight reactionary ideas across society. We owe this to the victims.
