Brain Tumor/Cancer Biologist/tumor model and a little bit of cancer metabolism #paradalab #mskcc views are my own.
I’m excited to share our latest study in @nature on this novel compound called Gliocidin, that targets glioblastoma (#GBM), the most malignant brain tumor. #drugdiscovery #cancer #cancermetabolism @GSKGradSchool @MSKCancerCenter nature.com/articles/s4158…
Published yesterday (Feb 27, 2025), a groundbreaking case study by Georgiana Long et al. may redefine GBM immunotherapy. The team reports the first known instance of upfront neoadjuvant administration of immune checkpoint inhibitors (a-PD-1 + a-CTLA-4 + a-LAG3) before surgery in…
Amazing work and breakthrough in the field of ecDNA cancer biology. This is a work I greatly admired as it is paradigm shifting in modeling tumors that fits the real world picture. Congratulations on this amazing work @aventura71 !
1/ 🚨New paper on ecDNAs from our lab! We reveal a strategy to engineer extrachromosomal DNA (ecDNA) amplifications in cells & mice. Let's dive in! 🧵👇 nature.com/articles/s4158…
So happy to see this work out! A little of a comcamaraderie feel with @Xueqian_Zhuang as we are right next to each other's lab, presented our work together in symposium and finalized our manuscript in Nature at around the same time. I love this work and congrats @TuomasTammela!
Several years in the making (and aging), @Xueqian_Zhuang 's study on aging is out today @Nature. She finds, surprisingly, that aging suppresses tumorigenesis and stemness in the lung by promoting a functional iron insufficiency in the alveolar epithelium. nature.com/articles/s4158…
So excited to share our new paper out in @Nature led by the fabulous @AnaisElewaut and @guillemxtivill providing mechanistic insights into anti-tumor immunity and why it may fail in so many patients! Sky-torial on @obenaufa.bsky.social rdcu.be/d1F7s
#Immunotherapy has transformed #cancer treatment, but some cancers evade immune defenses, causing resistance. @obenaufa's lab has discovered how inflammatory monocytes—a type of immune cell—can reactivate cancer-killing T cells within tumors. Read more: imp.ac.at/news/article/a…
I’m excited to share new work out of the lab in @NatMetabolism today on the impact of tumor-relevant glucose concentrations on the response to pyrimidine synthesis inhibitors. nature.com/articles/s4225…. PDF: rdcu.be/d1vkV
New Night Science Podcast episode! Michael Fischbach talks about choosing a research problem, managing risks, and turning crises into opportunities; as discussed in his Cell paper "Problem choice and decision trees in science and engineering" @mfgrp buzzsprout.com/1744020/episod…
Saying ‘I don’t know’ in talks has become a lost art, unfortunately. Super interesting discussions require us to be open about what we don’t know and what still needs to be explored. Here’s my recipe for answering questions in talks:
Huge congratulations on the new release, @yujungche and team! ☺️ Check it out in @nature: go.nature.com/3V8Hsjt 📰 Read the PR: bit.ly/3Z5lkYm
