In 30-plus years in the business, I haven't been more touched in writing a story than this one on brave little Landrey Eargle and her wonderful family, her family at home, her @AustinPeayFB family and her college football family. #ForTheLoveOfLandrey espn.com/college-footba…
This is so good. Well done @byron_97. Wasn’t too long ago you were working at Dollar General while chasing your dream.
Rams pass rusher @Byron_97 tells me that he did a back-to-school drive yesterday, giving away 300 backpacks at Pleasant Hill elementary school in South Carolina. Dollar General partnered with Young and awarded the school $50,000 as part of their Literacy Initiatives program.
Enough with the grandstanding, slogans and what my grandmother used to call piddling around. Figure out the College Football Playoff format, like right now, and let’s return the focus to Saturdays on the field. You’re never going to satisfy everybody. There is no perfect system.

Bob Stoops and Sam Bradford are among those on Oklahoma’s search committee for athletic director Joe Castiglione’s replacement.
Nobody in the SEC ran the wishbone with the success and grit John Bond did at Miss. State when he was playing for Bellard. SEC’s all-time leading rusher for a QB with 2,280 yards when he finished in 1983. Carried the ball 582 times in his career and got hit on nearly every play.
"I invented it. I dang sure ought to know how to defend it." Wishbone architect Emory Bellard led Mississippi State to arguably its greatest win in program history that snapped Bear Bryant and No. 1 Alabama's 28-game win streak 💪 🎥 SEC Storied: Wishbone
Great night at @theTSHF. Always a great event. Seeing my man @TheRonSlay inducted was tremendous, but the real treat was being able to spend some time with Mama Slay, Lolita. No. 35 got it natural!

An @AustinEastHS legend, the great Elston Turner had an awesome and rowdy contingent on hand at the Tennessee Sports Hall of Fame ceremony. Turner has coached forever, but he was a terrific player at @OleMissMBB. A ferocious defender.

Longhorns a big favorite by media to win the SEC title. Vanderbilt got two votes, the same as Florida and one more than Auburn, Ole Miss and Tennessee. Texas A&M didn’t receive any votes to win the title.

Be sure you make it to Robbins Chapel, Keokee, Slabtown, Cox’s Creek and Reeds Creek.
Too many to name, but Robo’s in Pound and Valley Overlook on 23 Northbound would be my starting point.
The latest in the Manning QB pipeline.
Sources have confirmed that Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning's son, Marshall, has enrolled at @baylorschool, where he will attend as an eighth-grade day student @BaylorSchoolFB @RaiderRecap timesfreepress.com/news/2025/jul/…
Simply, the Man!
I've always repped my city and state with pride, no matter where or what country I was in. You were always going to know Cashville/Nashville, Tennessee was IN THE BUILDING!! Honored to be inducted!! Come toast w/ your dog. This one is for the City/ State!! #615 #TennesseeMade

Arkansas DL Cam Ball was wearing a necklace with his late father’s picture on it. Charles Ball (Iceman) died on June 9 after battling an illness. The family is from Atlanta. “He’s not here in the flesh, but he’s here in spirit,” Ball said of his late dad.

Looking for the SEC's best OL in 2025? Texas A@M returns its top seven OL from a year ago. "In this day and age, that's a good thing. Obviously we've got a lot of experience, a lot of veteran players in that group. And back in 2020, that's where it all started," Mike Elko said.

Missouri has won at least 10 games in each of the last two seasons, but defensive end Zion Young still doesn't feel the love outside the Tigers' locker room. "It's time to put some respect on Missouri's name."
“Bring the Youngstown [Ohio] out of me, right? Put me in a corner. Let me fight my way out.” — Mark Stoops Entering his 13th season at Kentucky, Stoops isn’t running from the mounting scrutiny. espn.com/college-footba…
