Advocate for clean rivers free of sewage pollution. http://www.sewagepollution.uk
Thames Water boss says 'too much rain' to blame for major rise in sewage dumping. That wouldn't be the fat cat CEO of @thameswater trying to misled parliament again would it? Surely not! And there was I thinking that the law demands WCs to build, operate and maintain sewage…
Ultimately, at the heart of all rivers are the aquatic species that hardly get mentioned. Let's not ignore them. They are the ones fighting for their own survival yet constantly ignored. That needs to change. @BBCLookNorth #freshwaterfish #rivers #pollution
When Water UK welcomes a report you know it’s good news for the water companies and bad news for customers and the environment nature.com/articles/s4422…
Wow! @SteveReedMP once again claims it'd cost "Upwards of £100bn to Nationalise Water" This is a Lie This figure is from a report funded by the Privatised Water Industry to lobby against Nationalisation Why is a Labour MP regurgitating industry lies?
Pathetic interview of @SteveReedMP on @bbclaurak just now. @BBCNews had my analysis vetted recently by their head of data in face2face grilling but let @DefraGovUK and @WaterUK go unchallenged.

Sewage discharged into rivers after heavy rainfall. National disgrace for 36 years of England's water privatisation. People fleeced, investment neglected, dividends paid, bosses rewarded. Nothing will change until profit motive removed. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
"Abolishing Ofwat can't let water companies off." And there you have it. Is @Ofwat about to become the scapegoat for corporate greed, incompetence and mismanagement by water companies and a failed system of environmental regulation and political oversight?…
I'm posting this again 👇 to remind you all of exactly how much @Defra are tying to misled you. 👇
Yet more bullsh*t from Defra. Ban bonuses? Just 1 day ago Southern Water announced that CEO was not getting a bonus, they did however double his salary as govt had been warned by of all people the chair of Thames Water. Mentioning TW board discussed in detail exactly how they…
"Failing water regulator Ofwat scrapped after spike in worst sewage spills." You can not even remotely begin to have serious conversation about abolishing @Ofwat without adding the @EnvAgency's name to that list and taking a long hard clinical look at the role played by @defta…
Government lining up the news before it announces a 'massive overhaul' of water regulation, which will gift another 5 - 10 years to privatisation to rip us off and pollute for profit. Many NGOs will go along with it in good faith. Hope is not a strategy.

NEW Water company serious pollution incidents surged by 60 per cent last year thetimes.com/uk/environment…
"Serious pollution by water companies rose by 60 per cent last year." Now how's all that banning bonuses thing, all that sending people to jail thing working out for you? What a totally waste of time. Time to put someone serious in charge. thetimes.com/uk/environment…
"Sewage crisis: Most serious water pollution incidents up 60%." What you are looking at is the systematic failure of political oversight, regulation and industry. I'm sorry Sir Jon, your 'fixing the current system", your "incremental changes" is not going to fix this. Time…
Thames Water. In the past 6 years, Fairford Sewage Works, Gloucestershire, dumped untreated sewage for a total of over 1 year 8 months. Ofwat had funded the upgrade in 2019 but the company diverted the money and kept the dividends flowing. @CommonsEFRA @Feargal_Sharkey
"How our water went to shit." Headline of the day. 👏👏👏 prospectmagazine.co.uk/world/environm…
Firefighters @fbunational join the ranks of @GMB_union and @unitetheunion, opposing the greed, incompetence and corruption of the water industry. "It's time for the government to nationalise water". Good to have you on board everyone, grab an oar. 👏👏👏
Water companies have taken more than £70bn in dividends, leaving the public with leaking pipes and polluted rivers. It's time for the government to nationalise water, to ensure firefighters have access to clean water supply to safely tackle fires.
🚨 Water privatisation is failing firefighters and the public The FBU is backing calls for public ownership of water. Firefighters need clean, high-pressure water to keep the public safe.
I have just about completed my new film short that focuses on the beauty of freshwater fish and their importance. As we delve beneath the surface, we encounter a world of beauty fighting for its very own survival. #freshwater #freshwaterfish #pollution #lakes
