NTSB investigating Wednesday’s crash of a Murphy SR3500 Moose airplane near Quinault, Washington.

We have now been told there is NO DANGER for Washington state from this earthquake in Alaska. Scientists had to wait to examine the wave heights arriving at DART tsunami buoys -- and those sensors now indicate there is NO DANGER for our coastline. #wawx
Much of western WA will continue to see warm temperatures with moderate HeatRisk today and tomorrow. Please remember to stay hydrated, take plenty of breaks in the shade (or an air conditioned room), and check up on others. #wawx
On July 14, quakes at Mt. Rainier continue at low levels. Seismicity suggests water/fault interaction with no magmatic activity. Plot shows earthquake depths over time. This will be the last daily status update unless activity changes. Weekly updates will be posted each Friday.
