You cannot discern the lecture from a syllabus alone. Studying Dred Scott in law school does not forward a pro slavery agenda. Bring back good faith in public discourse.
This is not a good syllabus. But I will also say that a lot depends on how the teaching goes. Many texts which are wrong or even poorly-argued can inspire good discussions and can teach through putting students in the position of questioning and challenging. Seminars do this well

Smarter to focus on wide distribution, cross-platform builds from the start, or optimize for a single platform (e.g., Windows, enterprise) and scale horizontally?
Cargo is cool and let’s you do a ton quickly, but it does seem to layer some magic in there that eventually you have to unwind
