I bought this on AliExpress in 2019 for £1.30 including shipping. I have access to more novelty jewellery than a 16th century German nobleman could have imagined.

In 1937, London built 80,000 homes. Last year, it built less than half that. To find out why, I looked at two different planning applications for a four-storey block of flats from now and back then. 1937: 3 pages long. 2025: 1,250 pages long.
Can anyone seriously argue that today's system (an application longer than War and Peace to renovate a single block of flats) is better than what we had in 1937 (a single page application, with a decision in 3 weeks)?
