This is really cool. I’ve always thought the copyright problem with AI training was ultimately a transaction cost problem - it’s hard for AI companies and IP owners to bargain over the IP. If this makes that easier, then a lot more win/win deals may become possible.
cloudflare just broke the internet's business model. they launched "pay per crawl" websites can now charge ai crawlers for scraping content. instead of "block all bots" or "let them steal everything," there's option 3: "pay me." why this is a BIG DEAL: every SaaS has valuable…
Yeah this is basically the worst website I've used in a decade. Insanely bad UI – having to repeatedly go from one side of the window to the other to switch teams and positions, and "save changes" each time. Please roll back @OfficialFPL, this is going to stop people playing.
The FPL website is an absolute disgrace, awful to navigate, clunky and the transfer page is a nightmare.
Is there anything worse than saving someone's details on Whatsapp and finding that they have both their first name and surname in the first name field? It's both a hassle for you and makes it seem like they have no idea what they're doing.
Increasingly feel like Gaza, Climate change, and the omnicause at large, attracts the the type of person who would have been a religious zealot two hundred years ago if they didn't grow up in a post-Christian secular society. They yearn for God.
Show some sympathy for the police. Imagine having to deal with this. London, yesterday.
The big new idea that the EU has to build its own tech sector is... a "Buy European" law. Desperate. ft.com/content/5e25c3…
Did you know that when Americans say "quite" they mean "very"? And when everyone else says it they mean "somewhat"?
Sometimes I think about when the Tories had three months left in government, staring electoral oblivion in the face, and for their final policy swing went for a football regulator, national service, and a ban on smoking.
Insane. Six weeks in prison for sending a racist tweet. No threat or incitement to violence, but "clearly racist": six weeks in prison.

Enjoyed one of the best banh mis I’ve had at the Baguette King in Bermondsey. Perfect bread!

You’ve plastered this video all over your social media channels, taking advantage of my autistic older brother for views and to push your weird anti-black narrative. As a news company that *should* be responsible, this shouldn’t have been posted but oh well🙏🏾
'What do you think are British values?' @StevenEdginton finds out from South London locals what it means to be British.
Insightful point. Everyone mocks Europe for just being a giant museum and holiday destination, but in a world where AI automates most things humans do, being a nice place to go on holiday might be one of the few scarce things left.

o3 believes that Luka Vuskovic is the fastest player ever to score a goal and assist for a Premier League club on his debut. Is it wrong? chatgpt.com/s/t_687bc53cb1…
Nasty. This guy isn’t harming anyone, doesn’t say anything anti-British, he’s just ignorant in a way plenty of other British people are, of whatever ethnicity. So what’s the significance of the clip? Him being black?

Incredible* result: opening a paid plasma donation centre may reduce crime massively (*12%*) by letting criminals get money by donating their blood plasma instead of stealing from people. *I haven’t read the paper, and it sounds too good to be true, but who knows.

And that is called paying the Dane-geld; But we've proved it again and again, That if once you have paid him the Dane-geld You never get rid of the Dane.
Bat Conservation Trust: "The amendments do not go far enough" Badgers Trust: "We cannot back the amendments to the Planning Bill" Wildlife Trusts: "the amendments are not enough" NGOs will not be satisfied by concessions in the Lords and can't be trusted to act in good faith.
A must-read thread. Solar power is amazing. It might very well change the world. But it will not work for Britain and *wind is not solar*.
1. Wind and solar both keep me up at night, but for opposite reasons. Solar works and is winning the global race, Britain simply sits too far north to benefit. Britain is betting on wind instead, yet wind lacks the very traits that makes solar work.
