The NYC mayoral elections are looking to become another historic case of vote splitting. The simplest solution is Approval Voting.

The answer to gerrymandering is for the House of Representatives to enact #ProportionalRepresentation so Dems and Repubs get seats in proportion to their vote share. Amend the Uniform Congressional District Act to have a proportional representation clause for at-large districts.

Good grief. I want SCOTUS to declare RCV unconstitutional on sound logic: It violates equal protection. I don't want Congress to get comfortable dictating how states can run their own elections.

Imagine that these polls were approval polls, and that the elections used Approval Voting. Surely New Yorkers could find a mayor more appealing to them all.
