NEW: Over the past several months, I have obtained a number of court transcripts and have now identified several serious issues in the case against Lucy Letby concerning the murder charge of Baby C. 1. Lucy Letby wasn’t on shift on the day prosecution experts identified harm…
"I was sure Lucy Letby was guilty… then spent weeks poring over evidence & now I’m convinced NO babies were murdered". The Sun's chief features writer explains how his deep dive to debunk the Lucy "truthers" ended in him swapping sides. archive.is/2025.07.11-110…
Finally. The CoA is the real problem, CCRC is just the fall guy

👇 Thread on today's unanimous decision by the Supreme Court to quash the convictions of Tom Hayes and Carlo Palombo, and the decision's potential resonance to the Letby case.

And also I noted from the book the massive importance of public pressure to overturn the conviction.
There are many things about her behaviour said to be inexplicable if Letby is innocent, but there are several that are inexplicable if she’s guilty.
"There has been a huge element of dishonesty throughout this process and I want to ensure that you all hear my perspective and are aware of the impact your actions have had on me." Lucy Letby's letter to her accusers: thirlwall.public-inquiry.uk/wp-content/upl…
£11 million in legal fees. £585k for Thrilwall’s salary. Just wow. I assume this is in addition to her £241k salary as an appeals court judge. Seems unjustifiably high. Leaving aside the obvious point that she hasn’t really done anything, does the government really need to…
The Thirlwall Inquiry on Monday published a report detailing a total expenditure over the latest financial year of £13 million. thirlwall.public-inquiry.uk/wp-content/upl…
Also re Baby O, I’ve said it before but the coincidence required is staggering. The accepted facts are that Dr Brearey inserted a needle too high up *on the wrong side of the baby*. If the defence reports are correct that the liver was lower down due to excessive ventilation…
🔴 NEW by @david_conn: "A senior coroner's officer who first reviewed the deaths of babies at the Countess of Chester hospital for Cheshire police in 2017 now believes Lucy Letby has suffered a miscarriage of justice." theguardian.com/uk-news/2025/j…
On @Channel4News tonight: 2 years after nurse Lucy Letby was told she would die in prison, a Senior Coroner’s Officer, who worked investigating deaths on behalf of the coroner, has spoken out for the 1st time to share concerns about the safety of the convictions, including…

Lucy Letby to her counsellor at the Countess: "I feel as though this must be my fault and maybe I have done something wrong to the babies and blame myself – do you think that's normal?" Why on earth wasn't this correspondence shown to the jury at the first trial? Why wasn't…
In the case of Baby O, Dr Dewi Evans originally pointed to evidence of "inflicted trauma some time during the early hours of 23 June 2016." Not only was Lucy Letby not on duty, but she hadn't even returned to work following her holiday in Ibiza by this point.
"This was clearly a medico-legal nightmare." @drphilhammond's latest column discusses the case of Baby O, one of two triplet brothers whom Letby was convicted of murdering. Preview below:
Testimony of Dr A, I’m not going to sift through all the references but there are multiple references to the baby being in a ventilator. This whole approach of “well Dr Marnerides says it so it must be true” is incredibly naive. Defence experts are allowed to disagree with Dr…
There are a number of problems with this conglomeration of hypotheses. Firstly, the only person who says Baby O was ventilated is Letby and she says he was put on ventilation at 5pm on 23/6, ie. less than an hour before he died. It cannot have been the cause of the collapse at…
Fascinating discussion in the latest @doubjeopardypod—among other things, about whether the Court of Appeal would receive the evidence produced by Letby's new team of experts, regardless of the conclusions of her original defence experts. Tim Owen KC: The ultimate test is, is it…

One small correction to that article in the Sun. It’s said that if Dewi Evans’ evidence is excluded then that’s half the cases. It’s not half the cases it’s all of the cases other than Baby K. All experts were shown his reports first before writing their own. During the motion…

Crazy, amazing the Sun is covering this but the first time I’ve heard about it.
"[Dewi Evans] suggested [Baby P] had been significantly destabilising on the evening of June 23 2016—the day before he died and when Letby was off-shift. But during the trial he changed his mind." @TheSun on the Baby P case, based on @triedbystats' work: thesun.co.uk/news/35674426/…
