The CoA is stuck in medieval times. A group of individuals who seek to scratch each others backs until it’s time to be called home Serious overhaul required
Following today's Supreme Court ruling ripping into the Court Of Appeal's total uselessness, a timely reminder of their atrocious record going back decades. The CCRC have rightly been lambasted by politicians. Now it's time they now took on the Court of Appeal. Time's up.

The Guildford Four “confessed” to carrying out an IRA pub bombing, essentially under police torture. Their combined statements included over 140 contradictions. The prosecution explained these contradictions represented a brand new IRA tactic designed to confuse the police, and…
Terrific article, but the Lucy Letby insulin cases are massively shakier than even this: A 3rd baby had similar readings which were natural; Test results were unusual for adults but not neonates; Potassium readings were inconsistent with the poisoning theory.
jollycontrarian.com/index.php?titl… Yet again @ContrarianJolly nails it regarding the supposedly 'smoking gun' insulin cases in the #LucyLetby convictions. Huge concerns remain regarding the unreliability and inaccuracy of the insulin assays and failure to forensically confirm them.
Finally. The CoA is the real problem, CCRC is just the fall guy

Significant for Lucy Letby? There has been much talk of how rarely the Court Of Appeal overturn cases, regardless of how overwhelming the evidence. Here the Supreme Court ruling, in the opening sentence, REBUKES the CofA and their effectiveness in "confronting legal error."
Yet another miscarriage of justice. The Court of Appeal rejected this CCRC referred case. The Supreme Court today ruled that this “raises concerns about the effectiveness of the criminal appeal system in England and Wales in confronting legal error”. theguardian.com/business/2025/…

Some babies died avoidably at the Countess of Chester Hospital. The evidence that they died of accidental harm appears to be far stronger than the evidence that they died of deliberate harm. And yet the coroner didn’t spot either. Why not? My column in @PrivateEyeNews today.
This is hilarious. Over in Faceybook land on the ‘Operation Hummingbird’ site ( I kid you not) They’ve been writing to the bar standards board complaining about Mark McDonald & crying because they got short shrift 🤣 #LucyLetby
Excellent thread re Lucy Letby.
List of CPS / Judicial Abuses of Process: 1.Failure to Call Examining Pathologists No forensic pathologists gave testimony despite post-mortems being conducted — unprecedented in a multi-homicide case.
This is it. The chief expert witness at Lucy Letby's trial disregarded existing reports. He boasted he found evidence of murder in 10 mins. From then on, he simply appears to have made stuff up to fit. Judge Goss was SPECIFICALLY warned about this trait by another judge.
How do we know Evans made it all up? First, Judge Jackson warned the court. He predicted exactly what would happen. Later, the neonatology panel confirmed his concerns. There was no overlap at all because Evans decided the outcomes to meet the needs of the prosecution. #Letby
