Young scientists regularly ask me for career advice. Academia or industry? Big company or startup? US or Europe? Good scientists in AI disciplines are fortunate to have many choices. But choosing can be stressful. I always give the same advice. 1/10
First big talk on this. I’m setting it up not just to talk but for all of us to discuss. I’m very curious to learn what my colleagues are most optimistic (or concerned) about. We so desperately need to talk about these things more. Not just the heads of agencies; we researchers!
