Our lab (thefinnlab.github.io) is excited to review PhD applications this cycle! Check us out if you wanna do interesting stuff with brains and behavior in the woods 🌲🧠🌲Apply to Dartmouth Psych&Brain Sciences via Guarini Grad School (graduate.dartmouth.edu/admissions-f...) by Dec 1!
So excited to introduce this new work from myself, @ThaliaWheatley , and @meghanlmeyer out now in @PNASNews! pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pn…
New in #JNeurosci from @tommy_botch and @esfinn: Stable neural patterns that underly how we interpret words grounded in sensory experiences are as unique to us as our fingerprints. @FINNLab_neuro @dartmouth jneurosci.org/lookup/DOI/10.…
Come visit me at poster 2051 to learn about neural manifold constraints on neurofeedback learning with real-time fMRI! This project wouldn't have been possible without the help of @KrishnaswamyLab @g_lajoie_ , a fantastic research assistant, and the twitter-less Nick Turk-Browne.
How much do we really understand about how the brain processes movies/stories? Come to poster #0948 today/tomorrow at #OHBM2024! With @esfinn and our all-star collaborators @HayoungSong5, @headspace_lab, and @monicarosenb

Excited for #OHBM2024 in Seoul!🇰🇷 I'll be presenting "Neural mechanisms of insight during narrative comprehension" on Poster #1084🧠💡 My poster is filled with discussion points, so please drop by to share your wisdom!
Some very exciting news... after many, many, winter beards, I'm overjoyed to be joining sunny @UCSDPsychology as an Asst Prof in Jan 2025! Looking to recruit folks interested in doing some fun science, while building some cool (and useful) toys! Details: eshinjolly.com/lab/
Our upcoming presentation will be given by Dr. Ali Cohen (@aliocohen; @EmoryPsychology) on "Motivated learning and memory processes across development." The talk will be held on June 05 (Wed) at 10:30 AM ET. The Zoom link is available on our website: innovatorsincogneuro.github.io/speaker-info/a…
1/ Really excited to share: Language in Brains, Minds, and Machines w @Nancy_Kanwisher @ev_fedorenko @AnnualReviews We survey the insights that language models (LMs) provide on the question of how language is represented and processed in the human brain. rb.gy/8afztv
My lab (CoCo-Neuro) at UTD is recruiting a lab manager/tech to start in the summer of 2024 (2 years preferred). If you have a strong computational background and are interested in cog neuroscience, this position is for you! Apply through the official post: jobs.utdallas.edu/postings/26132
Today at #SANS2024. I'll be presenting our work that looks at the shared and individual processes involved when people interpret Heider and Simmel-esque social interaction animations! Poster# P3-A-1
Finally, out today in PNAS: "Brain decoding of spontaneous thought: Predictive modeling of self-relevance and valence using personal narratives" @HongjiKim et al. with @ByeolStellaKim, Eunjin Lee, and @esfinn pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pn…
📢Exciting news! Our paper on brain decoding of spontaneous thought is now available on Biorxiv. Check it out! (1/7)
Happy to share that my first first-author paper is out @TheLancet! Here, we present a case of PMO, a striking neurological condition of visual perception that causes faces to appear distorted, and the first photorealistic visualizations of how these distortions are seen.
