They’ve already gone to great lengths to discredit vaping. At this point, a change would be an admission of failure and public health institutions fear this above all else.
"Within 3 months [our community drug research] advisory group lost 3 out of 8 members to smoking-related diseases." Yet as vaping is vilified, "a change would be admission of failure & public health institutions fear this above all else." By @DrMtyndall: filtermag.org/need-vapes-why…
I'm almost 49 and I smoked for 15 years went to vaping have vaped 10 years now had my physical and I have lungs of 20 year old .I don't cough, don't stink, I work out and I'm very healthy.Ive never had high blood pressure either .
Exactly. Nic doesn't kill anyone and is in multiple foods and drinks. It's those 5,000 carcinogens that do. Vaping is cutting in the tobacco industry's action for years; so they lumped it in under cigarette products. Sick.
Same. Vaping 10 years and off cigarettes. But I am appalled at how the government has taken vaping over; salts, disposables, tiny tanks, no more testing e-juice or showing it in stores. So I still make my own e-juice and use old-school vapes like the Nautilus mini with a 4ml tank
I’m one of the ones who quit smoking and went to vapes. Almost 17 years ago. I breath fine and I don’t stink of cigarette smoke. I exercise and feel great. The hating on vaping makes no sense to me. Sorry not sorry.
Champagne corks are popping at the headquarters of Australian industry-hating tobacco controllers AND illicit market entrepreneurs. I'm guessing many cigarette consumers aren't too unhappy about lower prices either. The guys in charge of the budget must be having nightmares.
Australia: Legal cigarette market declined by 50% in Q2 2025. PMI shipment is down by 83% 50% of the market is illegal now. BAT is the distant market leader in Australia. Imperial is #2 (a top-5 market). Surge of illicit will also have its toll on BAT and Imperial results
More importantly the inconvenient conversation we need to have is, Australian lives are being shortened, firebombings, murders and crime has been increased due to Labor Govt vaping moral panic inducing ideology! Simon supports this but ultimately our Govt is responsible!
While his past achievements have been rightly praised and recognised in these matters concerning vaping and tobacco policy today he’s really looking at it through the lens of yesteryear. Well. It is 2025 and we have a vaping and tobacco regime that is dysfunctional to say the…
Day 18 of waiting for@RoyMorganAus to fess up the situation leading up to WHY Article 9936 was retracted & changed extensively to edit out the conclusion that Australia's approach was failing miserably & to then reframe the narrative and timeline to parrot Govt vaping 🐂💩

"In Thailand, the tobacco death toll is 71,000 people each year, and from vaping – zero. So why are cigarettes available in every convenience store, while e-cigarettes are banned?" The video's an hour long. youtube.com/watch?v=yIAMcc…

Great piece about the @BBCNews's latest piece of absurd tabloid hysteria about products which can help people quit smoking.
From vapes to pouches, the BBC continues its crusade against low-risk nicotine products. The latest hit piece on "gum shredding" teens is sloppy, selective, and short on science. Read how they’ve swapped lung panic for gum hysteria. daily-pouch.com/media-watch-bb…
Authors: stop talking about nicotine-stained fingers/wallpaper/curtains. Nicotine has no colour. The yellow staining comes from the tar in cigarette smoke. You’re welcome 😊
Australia: tax on a pack of cigarette (going parabolic) Total tax collection going down. Illegal market à gogo...
Australia is a small market in terms of volume. In 2024, 5 billion sticks were sold in the legal Australian market. This year, it will be down by 30% to 3.5 billion sticks. However, commanding the highest cigarette prices in the world, Australia has a meaningful impact on…

The final 5 of our #FilthyFifteen is out. Activists campaign for transitions to a better world they truly believe. Marketing opportunists jump on these campaigns to promote their products, amplifying and promoting their rush to change (merely for profit). thefirebreak.org/p/the-firebrea…
Not every veteran can — “just quit.” I’ve worked with enough veterans to know: tobacco use isn’t always about willpower. It’s often about trauma, routine, and survival. I founded Paradise Institute help support the whole picture— trauma, sleep, addiction, and more. We are here to…
“The average age of our national leadership looks like the cast of a Metamucil commercial. These are the people who partied at Woodstock but banned menthols and vape pens. They dropped acid, but God forbid you use nicotine to quit smoking.”
