A little explanatory reply thread on some of my views of the tension between using complex, theoretical language vs more simplified, everyday language, and the compromise that I’ve landed on in how I use language in this space. Your own compromise may differ, and that’s OK!
Like this very much. It’s the argument for having to do the frustrating thing of familiarizing oneself with the language of any discipline, rather than demanding it be simplified for us, so we don’t have to do this.
