Free Speech: up to half the country feels they can't speak their mind. telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/07/1…
The Freedom Association @tfa4freedom celebrated its 50th Anniversary at @PenshurstPlace this week. Here's a photo from the 20th Anniversary Dinner at the same place—the ancestral home of one of the founders, Viscount De L'Isle—with Norris McWhirter, Norman Tebbit and Tony Hilder.
My thanks to @tfa4freedom for a magnificent 50th anniversary bash. Fifty years of standing up for #FreeSpeech, freedom under the law, national sovereignty & other concepts currently unfashionable with our hopeless government. @DCBMEP @PenshurstPlace
"Strong national defences" is one of our 10 Principles of a Free Society. Our troops must not be thrown under the bus, whilst terrorist IRA killers walk free.
In Northern Ireland, our veterans were held to the highest standard of law. The IRA were not. They tortured and killed men, women, and children alike. Labour’s plan to scrap the Legacy Act betrays our veterans. My question on this at today's PMQs.
Wonderful 50th Anniversary dinner for Freedom Association @TFA4Freedom at Penshurst Place. Thanks to all attending. With @JohnRedwood Chris Chope, Gerald Howarth, Mark Francois @AndrewRosindell @DCBMEP @TimScottUK

The proposed age-related smoking ban is unworkable and should be scrapped, says a poll commissioned by The Freedom Association. In 20 years time a 39 year-old will be able to buy cigarettes but a 38 year-old won't be. How is this going to be enforced? express.co.uk/news/politics/…
UK down-graded on Freedom and Free Speech by annual international survey. No longer in top 'Open' (green) band. Now in a Restricted band (orange). Only W.European country not 'Open'. Link here: globalexpressionreport.org/?mc_cid=86edd4…

Labour's 'Islamophobia' definition: big concerns continue. Worries secretive working group on it will come up with controversial definition that will bring in a de-facto Blasphemy law and stifle Free Speech. @TFA4Freedom telegraph.co.uk/politics/2025/…
Welcome legally-binding advice now out on how Universities must facilitate Free Speech. Remember, Labour's Bridget Phillipson had to be threatened with Judicial Review to get this far. Link: officeforstudents.org.uk/for-providers/…

Welcome on June 12th to the latest ever 'Tax Freedom Day'- the day in the calendar year when the average Brit stops paying taxes and keeps what they earn. In the early 2000s it was mid May and it's projected to get later and later in the year. h/t @ASI

A de facto Blasphemy law runs counter to our Principle of Freedom of Religion and Belief (see all our 10 Principles here: tfa.net/the_ten_princi…)
De facto back-door Blasphemy law: well said in opposition Nick Timothy @NJ_Timothy but is anyone on the Govt benches listening?https://t.co/KGVrDggH3y
