Imagine being Kokilaben and having one daughter-in-law washing laptops with soap water and the other taking the chana out of the cooker and placing the empty cooker on the burner. Completely on her side here.

A must read, this piece by Prof Ashutosh Varshney where he draws parallel between SIR in Bihar and voter truncation in 19th-century American South. Citizenship is now weaponised to exclude voters, he concludes. theprint.in/opinion/betwee… via @theprintindia
He is happy with and without the apple.. we have a lot to learn from him.
Rahul Gandhi could have raised the issue of attack on Bengali migrant workers strongly. He is the LOP in Loksabha. In 2009, INC got 6 MP seats from West Bengal and mostly from the regions these workers hail from. This way the central leadership has abandoned the state.
Tilottama Majumdar, an award winning Bengali author “Wherever I go, my accent, my food habit should tell I am an Indian” Any day I would prefer to deal with a Yati Narsinghanand than a hidden fascist like her.

This is absolutely bonkers and can only be done by those who have no idea how these biz work. Will explain in detail b/c I have done credit modelling for this type of biz. 1. Most sellers are individual proprietors and have a single PAN. /1

It’s frustrating to see Bengali TV media debates on the infiltration in Bengal issue. Watching Sange Suman on ABP Ananda. Though he boast a lot about fact checking, no discussion on census data, Aadhar data, ration card data. Just few cases to sensationalize & scaremongering!
I think people fundamentally misunderstand what reading does When you read Adam Smith you not only get bullet points and examples but see how he crafts an argument, how he mobilizes evidence (or doesn’t!) and spurs questions that you don’t even know to ask bc they’re subtextual
Spending an hour asking ChatGPT about Adam Smith generally teaches you 3x as much as spending an hour reading Wealth of Nations. The undergrads are using AI because it's just a better, more efficient way to learn things
