Just received a survey from the DCMS. Amongst a lot of questions about participation in the Arts were 4 questions on betting Have you bet on horse racing oncourse /online? Have you bet on other sport there/on line? Interesting they have separated horse racing from other sports.
@TByrneBHA 435 Thirsk, an unbelievable late announcement of an enquiry into the start of the race where Red Force One was deemed a NR (Correct) This meant that the field was now reduced to 7 runners so EW bets on the 3rd were now losers but punters had been paid out
Something a bit dubious is found in the UK gambling industry. Do you call it out but risk giving ammunition to those who want to ban or restrict betting? Or do you keep quiet or even defend it to keep a united front against those who want to ban or restrict betting?
