2. The game was a 2 2 draw with Mark Falco and Micky Hazard scoring our goals. Osvaldo Ardiles and Chris Waddle were in our full strength team with Glenn Hoddle being injured. The attendance was just 3,867. Crowds were very, very low so soon after the Heysel disaster.
1. In May 1985 very sadly the Heysel Stadium disaster happened. As a minor consequence all English teams were banned not only from European competitions but also from European pre season friendlies. So on 3 August Spurs played against Exeter City at St James Park.

Went there and Alan Gilzean did his trick with a half crown, dropped it onto his knee, then down to his foot and flicked it up onto his forehead! And three 11 year olds went home to practice (but with a penny!!)
wonderful memories of going there with my dad. got some great photos with the team. them were the days nothing will ever come close to that.. always remember heading practice huge frame with balls on rope sure has changed alot since then..COYS
