Unpopular opinion: Being surrounded by ppl who always say 'I knew u would achieve this. This wasn't surprising. In fact, u could have done much more!' whenever u do something new/big feels terrible. It might keep u grounded but also drains u & makes u feel u can never be enough.

Adulting is realising that people act, react, behave only according to their level of maturity. Stuff they say, assume or make-up about you has nothing to do with your reality. It is a sheer result of their level of thinking and the things that actually they are into :)
Yes. And am convinced that we do it because we want to feel less terrified when we remember it the next time. Trauma can never be forgotten. It haunts and haunts whenever we remember what & all we could have done in order to prevent it.

I have come to a conclusion that being surrounded by good ppl seldom makes us good & being surrounded by bad ppl always makes us pretty good. We learn what not to do, how not to behave, why is it important to be fair & how it saves us plus others in many ways. Wisdom u see!
