It's deeply concerning that one of the best AI researchers I've worked with, @kaicathyc, was denied a U.S. green card today. A Canadian who's lived and contributed here for 12 years now has to leave. We’re risking America’s AI leadership when we turn away talent like this.

Today we’re releasing a research preview of GPT-4.5—our largest and best model for chat yet. Rolling out now to all ChatGPT Pro users, followed by Plus and Team users next week, then Enterprise and Edu users the following week.

o3-mini is out! smart, fast model. available in ChatGPT and API. it can search the web, and it shows its thinking. available to free-tier users! click the "reason" button. with ChatGPT plus, you can select "o3-mini-high", which thinks harder and gives better answers.

My account was hacked. I do NOT endorse any crypto or web3 project. Thanks to everyone who helped to spot this and prevent damages. The lesson is to turn on 2FA and always have a second thought of "is this phishing" before clicking on anything :(

The new AI challenge should be to come up with an eval that is actually solvable by people/gradable and survives for >1 yr.

We trained o3-mini: both more capable than o1-mini, and around 4x faster end-to-end when accounting for reasoning tokens with @ren_hongyu @shengjia_zhao & others
