The Netanyahu government’s extermination of Gaza intensifies. Malnutrition is rampant, children are starving to death, people are shot while waiting for meager food rations — and US weapons allow it to happen. Trump and Congress must act NOW. Stop the slaughter. Feed the people.

Children are being starved to death in Gaza and this is the response of a United States government representative who could do something about it.

In Kharkiv, I slept through drone strikes. In Brussels, silence kept me awake. The body learns how to survive, but not always how to stop surviving. I was in Ukraine for 3 months. Imagine what’s it’s like to live with war for 3+ years.
From an essay I wrote last summer, on the Columbia protests. The kids were right, about Gaza then, and some have paid dearly for it. Someday it will seem obvious, but only because these young people spoke first.
The student protesters were obviously correct on Gaza. The reaction to them was obviously idiotic and depraved. We're probably still a while out from this being banal conventional wisdom, but it's coming.
The US defunded the primary UN organization feeding the people of Gaza in Jan 2024 and no one batted an eye. They did it to help Israel use aid as a weapon of war. Now as the predicted famine arrives in full everyone is throwing their alibis together and it makes me fucking sick
