ABC just voted down modular housing for people at risk of homelessness - AGAIN. Thanks to @seanorr for bringing today's motion to City Council. As thousands seek a place to lay their heads every night, @Vote4ABC has shown us where they stand once more.

Imagine if Vancouver fully supported the arts. This afternoon - before ABC amended the motion almost beyond recognition - @SeanOrr spoke passionately in support of a great motion from Councillor Pete Fry based on proposals from the City's Arts & Culture Advisory Committee.

Absolutely gutted that council decided to strike and replace this well thought out motion.

I spoke today in support of a 3rd party review for the School Liaison Officer Program in schools that centres on Black and Indigenous voices. Sadly it did not pass. We must do better! Grateful for @PtFry @seanorr @Lucyincanada #vanpoli #bced

The SRA by-law conversion fees exist to get badly needed deeply affordable housing replaced. If the city makes a policy of waiving these fees to protect investors who purchase these properties knowing the SRA status of the units, they're encouraging speculation.

“Overall the economic theories that Ken Sim shares in these videos are pretty out there and outside the economic consensus,” Orr said.

We can’t afford this extreme austerity. The poorest will be most affected as always.

When will Ken Sim apologize for attacking Sean Orr for defending human rights and international law? #vanpoli

How do you look at data showing over 2,000 lives saved and still want to shut sites down? We need more public health solutions, not moral panic. And if there was access to safe supply, you’d see even fewer deaths, fewer street deals and fewer headlines blaming the wrong thing.
