Rumor has it that Dyson is working his way up the scale curve to achieve his namesake Sphere
Dyson is now growing strawberries with robots, spinning trays and UV lights, making farming super smart and fun 🍓
I didn't particularly enjoy the major I chose for undergrad. But, it forced me to learn: 1. Finance 2. Accounting 3. Public Speaking And those three things have turned out to be unbelievably important.
Almost two decades ago, I took Accounting 101. It taught basic stuff - debits and credits, the accounting equation, and how to read financial statements. That single class has had an outsized impact on my businesses. I highly recommend that all entrepreneurs learn accounting.
San Francisco is so productive because: 1. It's not nice enough outside to feel the urge to frolic 2. It's not cold enough outside to feel the urge to snuggle up by a fire
The most valid criticism of San Francisco
Meta stock is up $1.5T in 3 years. The freshly minted SBC they have to play with is world historical.
Heard Zuck poached 4 more OpenAI researchers, including some behind the open-source model. how deep are Zuck’s pockets?
On one hand, we need to romanticize it a bit so smart people take the plunge to make the world better, On the other hand, the reality is it's an insane thing for insane people.
The romanticization of being a startup founder is kind of insane to me: – You’re statistically unlikely to succeed – You’ll have no life and be totally consumed - Incredible lows – You’re locking yourself in for 10+ years This is insanely hard and NOT for everyone.
This type of user-hostile platform lockdown only works in consumer. Enterprises will pay a lot of money for platforms, but they actually have to be functional as platforms. Locking the API turns Slack into just another app. Slack is writing their obituary.
The new @SlackHQ API rate limits are absolutely insane: For accessing messages, you can now only make 1 request per minute, with a maximum of 15 messages 🤯 And yes this applies to ALL apps, not just public ones. We can't build internal tools on our OWN data. @Benioff this is…
A sovereign nation is nothing without the industrial means to support itself. We have a long journey to reestablishing our self-sufficiency around national security and @HadrianInc is showing how it can be done. Congrats Chris and team.
Hadrian is announcing a $260m Series C lead by @foundersfund + @Lux_Capital + @MorganStanley for (Factory Expansion financing). We're also welcoming new investors @altimeter, @1789Capital + investments from existing investors @a16z, @constructcap, @137ventures and many others.…
Fun fact of the day: Only 7% of China's population are members of the CCP. The world's largest "Communist" nation is actually ruled by an exclusionary, elite minority group.

We are pivoting away from doing enterprise AI transformations ("AI-native Palantir"). For now at least. I've shared our key learnings below. I'll share a detailed blog post soon. What's next? We are going to start moving insanely quickly on several other ideas. Stay tuned 😎
I get ~3 cold emails every day from random people saying they want to buy @withexec. What's the racket here?
