This is what doctors go through on a daily basis with insurance companies. It's infuriating.
I’m sharing an actual recent peer-to-peer call that shows what physicians and patients face when trying to get a surgery approved. This call felt as absurd as it sounds. The peer-to-peer call was to advocate for surgery to prevent and treat lymphedema for a patient with breast…

Some cool shots of a turtle that I found crossing my yard to get to the stream in the back. I checked in a little bit later to find it chilling in the water.

I'm not smart enough to know if my cancer was caused by covid infection(s) or the mRNA vaccine to protect against it. I do find it highly suspicious, however, that within a year or so of both infection/vaccination I developed a rare cancer. I hope people are researching this.
VERY URGENT: New Unreported Truths, about a disturbing finding from German scientists suggesting the mRNA shots are causing a permanent change to a portion of our chromosomes, a change previously linked to cancer and autoimmune diseases
My rare, oncogenic ALK+ lung cancer is very likely linked to Covid, IMHO.
For a brief moment in time, media acknowledged COVID is causing the skyrocketing cancer rates in young people (& everyone else). In 2025, everyone has forgotten again, & we aren’t anywhere near “after the pandemic.” This is after all of science spent 2020-2024 acknowledging…

Here's a well-written story about a small piece of Revolutionary War action here in New Jersey. Great job by @dzimmernews.

Thanks, @evicorehc, for denying a CT scan that could confirm suspected progression in my #lungcancer. The CT scan is literally the least expensive option proposed by my oncologist. Still, DENIED! It's beyond laughable at this point.
I thank God every day for my wife, @NoraSchnure, who prevented doctors from making mistakes when I was in the ICU. It might have saved my life. When you're a patient, you absolutely need someone you trust to monitor your treatment, ask questions, and be your vocal advocate.
I share the story of my SIL refusing to take me home from the ER for the 3rd time. Doc: Her labs are perfect, she can go home. SIL: We’re not leaving, till she gets an MRI. Doc: We’re calling security, she’s not sick, doesn’t need one. SIL: Call them, we’re not leaving. 5 hrs…
We currently have two different strains of flu in our house. I have Influenza A, and one of the kids has B. We also had covid right after New Year. These viruses just never seem to stop coming.
I had my oncologist appointment yesterday to review my PET scan. As expected, it's not clear what the results mean. The doctor thought it's odd that all of my treatments are working everywhere except for that one spot in my right lung (which already was radiated). Here are the…
Here's a quick summary of my PET scan results from Grok. Basically, it's a mixed bag. Most of the cancer that had spread across my body is now gone, but the initial lung tumor is still there and possibly more active. There's also another spot on my shoulder that's showing…

Just had a PET scan at MSK. Cross your fingers for no progression. #alkpositive #lungcancer

Yet another reason to pass legislation sponsored by Sen. @JonBramnick and @SenPresScutari to prohibit insurance pre-approval requirements completely.
“Deny, deny, deny. That’s how you hit your numbers,” said former Cigna medical director Dr. Debby Day about the pressure put on her to rapidly review patients’ cases. “If you take a breath or think about any of these cases, you’re going to fall behind.” propublica.org/article/cigna-…
