Lighting that matches the color temperature and intensity of the sun might be the simplest way to improve modern life. Our retinal ganglion cells respond to ~480nm blue light, evolutionarily calibrated to solar patterns, but indoors we get way less sunlight (~100 vs 100,00+ lux)

I remember in late 2019, to combat the hellish Michigan winters, I created this super bright makeshift floor lamp using a 60w corn bulb. I used a programmable outlet switch to automatically turn on the lamp at 6am every day to wake me up I wish what @sberens1 built here existed…
