Very interesting that the text below has borrowed the Marathi L in Hindi for the retroflexal L sound in Chola. Tamil also has the same but that hasn’t gotten the same attention.
The Chola emperors had woven India into a thread of cultural unity. Today, our government is carrying forward the same vision of the Chola era. Through initiatives like the Kashi-Tamil Sangamam and the Saurashtra-Tamil Sangamam, we are strengthening these centuries-old bonds of…

How does ADR's funding matter to the validity of the legal issues they've raised? Discrediting by association is a cheap trick. Will Rahul Shivshankar say, "Interestingly, Adolf Hitler was a VEGETARIAN"?
BREAKING: ADR moves SC expressing serious reservations about EC'S claims on S.I.R. Interestingly, ADR has received large cache of funds from OMIDYAR NETWORK and Ford Foundation. OMIDYAR has often co-funded institutions with Soros's Open Society Foundation.

The idea graffiti found by archaeologists in Egypt suggest that one of the crews building the pyramids had the name 'drunkards of Menkaure' still makes me smile.

Very interesting indeed that as we become a richer society, quality in certain industries is going down in favor of access to more consumers. The next tiers are very expensive. They are available though. In short, inflation of high quality is very high.
Airplane seats are getting smaller and smaller, clothes are unrecognizable after the second wash, and machines now answer our calls. Quality and care for craftsmanship seem to be things of the past english.elpais.com/culture/2025-0…
🇬🇧 The recent capital gains tax increase in the UK was expected to bring additional tax revenue. Instead, high-net-worth individuals and families are leaving the country leading to an 18% fall in net capital gains tax revenue. A £2.7b loss. Welcome to the Laffer curve, suckers.

A lot of Indian problems can be solved just by improving primary education in India. Sadly, the BJP government has done very little to focus on this. In fact, education departments look like punishment posting for ministers and babus.
“Iron is always hot” - golden words. World is always full of opportunities if we have the eyes to spot them. Would I trade my college experience for doing a startup? Nope.
1. You can't always go back to college. If you drop out for more than a year or two, you'll be older than the other students when you return and it won't be the same experience. 2. The iron is always hot.
Don't drop out of college to start or work for a startup. There will be other (and probably better) startup opportunities, but you can't get your college years back.

Accurate. With most population (90%) earning 2.9L a year, the current rate knocks their consumption out by taking away their earnings. This then translates into more DBT demand and hence more taxes like the gst notices on fruit sellers. Terrible economics at so many levels.
Have said it before, govt should abolish 18% GST slab and bring it all to 12%. This is a very high level of tax for a poor country like ours. We will see a boost in economic growth and compliance once we do it. A consumption tax is basically a friction in consumption.
