Fake History Hunter
@fakehistoryhunt
I hunt fake history and correct it, but also post amazing real history stuff. Rude, obscene, vulgar, racist people who can't act like grown-ups get blocked.
Did I mention I wrote a book? Only a few million times I reckon, so time to remind you once more ;) Here's a quick thread about every single chapter I in it. More about the international bestselling book here: fakehistoryhunter.net/2023/09/08/ive…

Violinist and dance band leader Efim Schachmeister was born #OTD in 1894. Playing a mixture of jazz and Schtetl styles he was a prime target for Nazi persecution. Escaping to Belgium, then Luxembourg and in 1936, exiled to Argentina where he died in 1944. de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Efim_Scha…
This is just mean. I mean it's over 600 pages but the publisher knows I'm a history addict and can't live without my medieval hygiene debunking fix. But I also have to have some money for food left!

Another idea from the past that's quite brilliant. Why aren't these a thing any more or if they are, why don't we see them everywhere? No space for a bathroom? No space for a bath? Just hide one in your kitchen sink!
Yes, I know, I may sound like an old grumpy granny who says "well in my day..." too often but watching a film and getting this warning in advance did make me grumble.

I love indoor archaeology, especially if it reveals traces of a common past. Like these 1920s newspapers used as insulation. Newspapers insulate very well, people used them between blankets and even under clothes during cold winters. facebook.com/groups/1706748…

Oh great, just what we need, more spam ;)
SPAM gets a bad rap, but it was instrumental in saving millions of lives during and after WW2. It’s also a great way to get your monthly allotment of salt. youtu.be/XdYjy4RENtI?si… #spam #tastinghistory
Time to once and for all deal with this not so comfy chair. Currently writing a little chapter about these spiky chairs. So duckies, have you perhaps ever seen any evidence for these being used or even existing during the middle ages?
